Factores de crecimiento económico del Ecuador, período 1960 – 2014
(2017-07) Salazar Santana, Abraham Rodrigo.; DT - Morales Carrasco, Lilian Victoria
The present research project seeks to identify the factors that determine the economic growth of Ecuador during the period 1960 - 2014, therefore, the Gross Domestic Product is considered as a measure of economic growth. To fulfill the objective of this research, a literary review is used, which serves as the theoretical basis of the present study. Two econometric models are estimated by Ordinary Least Squares, which are based on the theory of aggregate expenditure as a measure of Gross Domestic Product to establish the degree of contribution that the Expenditure Final Household Consumption, Investment, Expenditure Final Government Consumption and Exports Net have over GDP and in a complementary way a sectoral analysis is carried out through the use of a Matrix of Social Accounting of Ecuador. According to the results of the statistical inference and the analysis of the Social Accounting Matrix of the country, it is deduced that both the Final Household Consumption Expenditure and Net Exports are the factors that have a greater contribution in the variation of the GDP of Ecuador During 1960 to 2014, however, the Government's Final Consumption Expenditure has the lowest contribution to the variation of Ecuador's GDP during the study period. It is also evident that the services sector has the largest contribution to the country's GDP.
