An analysis of the current situation of the Vía Cunchibamba – San Andrés was carried out due to its intense commercial and tourist activity, which has caused a notable deterioration in its surface. Given this circumstance, it will be deemed necessary to examine the deficiencies and condition of the road, identifying the most worn areas and critical problems, in order to propose a maintenance plan that guarantees safe and comfortable circulation. A research process was initiated to carry out a georeferenced topographic survey, collecting 550 points. Then, a vehicle count was carried out for 12 continuous hours over 7 consecutive days, determining the projected TPDA and TPDAf for 20 years, considering the road as a Class II Collector. Next, the soil was studied using granulometry tests and Atterberg limits, making pits of one cubic meter for each kilometer and in the initial Abscissa, the California Support test, obtaining an average of 20.43 percent, classifying it as a subgrade quality from Fair to Good and Excellent. In addition, a deflection analysis was carried out in the rolling layer using the Benkelman Beam, showing type I deflections. Finally, the Pavement Condition Index method was used, identifying existing faults on the road to carry out the respective maintenance plan and a reference budget for conservation so that the road can be in an optimal state for its use.

A study of the current state of the Vía Pelileo-Chiquicha was carried out due to the high commercial and tourist mobility it has, which is why its surface layer has considerable deterioration. Due to this situation, it was necessary to analyze the failures and conditions of the road, recognizing the areas with the most wear and critical failures, thus proposing a conservation plan that allows safe and comfortable circulation. It began with the execution of a research process to develop a georeferenced topographic survey, obtaining 550 points. The vehicle count continued for 12 uninterrupted hours for 7 consecutive days, determining the projected TPDA and TPDAf for 20 years, considering the road as a Class II Collector. Subsequently, the study of the soil was carried out by means of granulometry tests, Atterberg limits, for which test pits of one cubic meter were made for each kilometer and the California Support test, obtaining an average of 12.24 percent that belongs to a Regular to Good subgrade, in addition, an analysis of deflections in the road surface was carried out using the Benkelman Beam, yielding type I deflections and the Pavement Condition Index method, identifying that the road is located in good condition since his average is 56.63 points, needing a rehabilitation. Once these analyzes have been identified, a periodic road maintenance plan is required to obtain a referential budget of de $ 70.564,50 for its conservation.
