Estudio de la expresión génica de cuatro accesiones de Chenopodium quinoa Wild, bajo condiciones de estrés por frío
(2021-04) López Mayorga, Francis Rodrigo; Vásquez Freytez, Carlos Luis
In Ecuador there is a high degree of production and consumption of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd), the grain of this cultivar is considered an emerging pseudocereal with high nutritional values, forming an important part of food security. This cultivar manages to adapt to several edaphoclimatic factors, maintaining great tolerance to low temperatures (cold). In the present research work, the gene expression of four accessions of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) Was analyzed under cold stress conditions. Four types of ascents of quinoa were used A1 (Tunkahuan), A2 (Sweet bean), A3 (Bitter bean) and A4 (Venado leg) evaluated at T0 (0 hours), T1 (12 hours), T3 (24 hours) and T4 (48 hours). In general, in accession A3, it was possible to obtain a higher degree of expression of the DREB1, ESK1 and PSC5 genes, of which I highlight DREB1, these genes are involved in the activation of the metabolic pathways that counter the effects generated by low temperatures (cold). This study provides relevant information for its subsequent use in the field or laboratory, identifying varieties with potential resistance to this type of abiotic stress.
