Maestría en Seguridad e Higiene Industrial y Ambiental, 2017) Fuenmayor Insuasti, Jinsop Rodolfo; Calisto Ramírez, María RosselineEXECUTIVE SUMMARY Currently, the development of an ergonomic study in the organizations demands approaches and programs aimed at the prevention of occupational health risks, so as to allow the conception of the worker as an "internal client". The Ecuadorian Tea Company (CETCA) is a company dedicated to the production and commercialization of Tea, where most productive activities require a high physical effort, generating risk factors for the health of the workers involved and impacting on their job performance. The identification of these factors makes it possible to determine alternative prevention measures that are considerably reduced or eliminated altogether. In this sense, the present investigation aims to carry out an ergonomic study to improve the professional performance of workers in the withering area of CETCA. For the collection of data necessary for the diagnosis of the current situation regarding the occupational hazards of the organization, surveys, interviews, observation and documentary analysis were used to verify the need for an ergonomic study in the withering area. The proposed action plan for the withering area of the company was based on the ergonomic problems detected, for which a budget of $ 12,190.00 for the acquisition of equipment, instruments, tools and training should be provided.
