    Implementación de un sistema inteligente para la identificación vehicular

    The main objective of this research work was to implement an intelligent system capable of classifying vehicle and automotive license plates, as well as self-correcting recognition errors, for which it was based on the design of an algorithm capable of detecting and classifying vehicles, implementing artificial intelligence. Once the process to be followed was identified, a source code was implemented for the detection of the types of license plates using the convolutional neural network WPOD in which the data of the edge, width and height of the plate were specified so that it only provides the photo of license plate. For the binarization process used in the research, the Otsu algorithm was used, which converts the images into the gray, blur, binary and dilation scales, applying filters that can obtain the location segments of the letters and numbers. Finally, an effective system was obtained, with acceptable detection capacity, since design parameters of the architecture of each type of red were established, which achieved a satisfactory solution to the problem of identification, classification and validation of the characters of Ecuadorian license plates.

    Laboratorio de aprendizaje de Comunicaciones Ópticas basado en normas internacionales para la Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato

    RESUMEN En este proyecto se expone los resultados obtenidos de la propuesta de diseño de un laboratorio de Comunicaciones Ópticas basado en la Norma ISO 17025 que es una normativa internacional desarrollada por ISO (International Organization for Standardization) en la que se establecen los requisitos que deben cumplir los laboratorios de ensayo y calibración acoplándolos a un laboratorio didáctico, por otra parte, la creación de un manual de prácticas y la aplicación en la Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial de un laboratorio de Comunicaciones Ópticas. Las prácticas propuestas se considera un material fundamental de las acciones previstas en el proyecto, en especial en aquellas actividades que necesitan reconocimiento visual para su correcto entendimiento como lo son: Componentes de un sistema de fibra óptica, Atenuación, pedidas de acoplamiento, Tipos de fibra, Empalmes y conectores, etc. Como resultado del trabajo y la investigación se elaboró un Manual de Prácticas de Laboratorio que reúne los temas más relevantes del módulo de Comunicaciones expuestos en el párrafo anterior, previo análisis del sílabo y cotejando con la adaptación de los materiales y equipos propuestos en esta tesis. ABSTRACT In this project there are exposed the results obtained of the offer of design of a laboratory of Optical Communications based on the ISO Norm 17025 that it is an international regulation developed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in that there are established the requirements that must fulfill the laboratories of test and calibration them connecting to a didactic laboratory, on the other hand, the creation of a manual of practices and the application in the Faculty of Engineering in Systems, Electronics and Manufacturer of a laboratory of Optical Communications. The proposed practices it is considered a fundamental material of the actions foreseen in the project, especially in those activities that need visual recognition for his correct understanding they it are: Components of a system of optical fiber, Attenuation, asked of coupling, Types of fiber, Junctions and connectors, etc. As result of the work and the investigation there was elaborated a Manual of Laboratory practices that assembles the most relevant topics of the module of Communications exposed in the previous paragraph, previous analysis of the sílabo and arranging with the adjustment of the materials and equipment proposed in this thesis.
