Item Reducción de desperdicios en la línea de faenamiento de la empresa “Mag Pollo” empleando herramientas de manufactura ajustada(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2021-09) Cordovilla Núñez, Johnny Iván; Reyes Vásquez, John PaúlLean manufacturing has been consolidated as a key point to improve the productivity of companies worldwide. Mag Pollo, an Ecuadorian company dedicated to the production, marketing and distribution of slaughtered chickens, has inefficient management and control of waste in the slaughtering process; as a result, it affects production costs, productivity, product quality, customer dissatisfaction and, consequently, the corporate image in the market. The main objective of the project is to develop an implementation proposal based on lean manufacturing tools to reduce the waste present in the chicken slaughtering line and improve productivity. To achieve this, a process survey is carried out with the VSM tool that allows to diagnose the current situation of the company; thus, having a starting point for the development of the improvement plan with 5'S, SMED, Jidoka, Poka-Yoke, Heijunka tools that allow to eliminate or reduce the ten identified wastes. In addition, a simulation model of the process is designed with all the improvement proposals in FlexSim software to measure the productivity of the company; then evaluate the improvement achieved and the profitability of the actions proposed. With the implementation of the research project, the company would have a slaughtering line that operates harmoniously with continuous flow from piece to piece, would be able to produce 1700 chickens/day (27200 u/month), obtaining a productivity of 1.13 which represents an increase of 2.72% and 11200 units with an additional profitability of $ 7616 dollars per month with respect to the initial situation.
