Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-03) Freire Zurita., Juan Antonio; Ayala Baño, Paulina ElizabethThe present research project proposes the development of an interactive electronic device for the rehabilitation of patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, because the rehabilitation process in therapies of this type of injury is carried out with the intervention of the specialist, so this device helps as support in the rehabilitation processes applied by physiotherapists reducing time and providing the patient with a different method to perform their recovery from actively and progressively. The device is based on the design of an optimal therapeutic glove used in this type of wrist injuries, which allows to perform the movements required in therapy, uses wireless technology with data reception and transmission modules this helps communication and interaction with the patient and the remote control system, they are programmed according to the positions required in their rehabilitation so that the patient controls an object through the movements of his wrist. Finally, the rehabilitation device is made up of an interactive track through which the object controlled with motion sensors moves, to alert the patient that he has reached a specific point increasing the desire to continue with the rehabilitation and recovery process and additionally has a data record of the patient's progress after culminating with each rehabilitation session. This device offers support in the work of the physiotherapist in the processes of assisted therapeutic rehabilitation to his patients, reducing manual intervention, time and fatigue negative factors that occur in each routine, in the same way it helps to stimulate the patient in the rehabilitation process, improving the movement of the wrist quickly and effectively.
