Inventory management is a key factor for the success of hardware businesses, especially those operating with a wide variety of products. This study proposes the implementation of an inventory management model based on the perpetual inventory system, aiming to optimize stock control, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiency in internal processes. To diagnose the initial situation, an IPISI analysis was conducted, identifying critical areas related to storage and organization. Additionally, tools such as the 5S methodology were applied to improve warehouse organization, and standardized alphanumeric coding patterns were developed to facilitate product identification using barcodes. The expected results include more accurate inventory control, reduced product search times, and improved strategic decision-making. This approach aims to provide a practical and replicable framework that allows small and medium-sized hardware businesses to enhance their competitiveness in the market
