Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Pico Gordón, Juan Pablo; Mariño Rivera, Christian JoséThe present research work is based on designing a plant distribution in Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Productivo de Tungurahua for assembly and finishing area, being a project in conjunction with the ítalo - ecuatoriano cooperative project, providing the service to the footwear production sector. The research is based on a study in guide companies associated with CALTU, in order to know processes involved in assembly and finishing of footwear, thus determining most representative footwear lines, process sequence and machinery use. With collected information, a study is carried out on the relationship of routes and activities with their respective necessary spaces for each activity, which will respect the standards dictated in safety in manufacturing facility. To determine a feasible distribution, two alternatives are generated which respect principles of distribution and are evaluated by load - distance, presenting alternative 1 better than alternative 2 by 4.75%, which has a distance between stations of 81.72 meters and has a U configuration. The analysis to determine the plant distribution is supported by WinQSB software, through a study based on the cost of moving material between stations, based on this it is established that alternative 1 for plant installation is more efficient by 14.29 % to alternative 2; supporting alternative 1 as the best alternative to install, contributing and arguing to previous used method for the analysis.
