Safety laws and regulations are applied in all business environments with the main objective of protecting people who are the most valuable resource of the company and carry out work activities under risky conditions. The Hidalgo Tannery, a company dedicated to the production of leather, has few plans, requirements and technical documents that address the risk factors necessary to prevent or reduce accidents and physical damage in the workplace. The poor training of workers in safety measures, their overconfidence when carrying out their tasks and lack of knowledge about the correct use of personal protective equipment are some of the causes that have generated the presence of risks in the company. Through the research carried out, it was proposed as a solution to the problem to propose an industrial safety technical management plan based on the independent study and analysis of the work areas and considering the regulations currently established within the national statutes and regulations. The most critical risks were identified in the production area, with mechanical risks being the most serious, and it was detected that noise levels exceed the permitted limit (85dBA) in workplaces such as hairdressing, fleshing, dividing, tanning, softened, pigmented and ironed. Furthermore, factors such as the lack of signage, disorder, the absence of training and the lack of prevention plans aggravate the levels of occupational risk in the company.

PRESEGMAN provides advisory and training services in the field of Safety and Industrial Hygiene, the main problem is that it lacks the metrological process of measurements and does not have the standardization and validation of physical tests, therefore, this research aims to obtain noise tests. and lighting under ISO17025:2017 guidelines, for its accreditation and to demonstrate that its professional services are technically competent. The methodology applied was the technique of the structured interview to obtain information in relation to the offered tests, the survey of the technical requirements of ISO17025:2017 for the registration of non-conformities and the observation in the investigation of the reports and processes of the company to verify the level of compliance according to the ISO 17025:2017 standard, obtaining a 27% application. The main result obtained indicates that 67 requirements are mandatory, and for this, improvements were made such as the implementation of uncertainty calculations, linearity, control of environmental factors and standardization of the method, thus complying with 100% of the parameters required by this standard, in conclusion, it has been possible to present reliable results through technical reports and standardized procedures, completely improving the level of compliance.

The main objective of this research work is the development of the ergonomic study of Lighting and Noise levels in the company CNT E.P. matrix Ambato Sur; this due to the relocation of jobs as a result of the appearance of the global pandemic caused by COVID 19 and the renovation of the electric generator that supplies electricity in case of emergency to the main building; The research modality used is of an applied type and includes the measurements in the 62 fixed posts, in addition to the 4 common areas and in the generator room; different methodologies are used in the study; To identify the initial situation of the company, Check Lists are prepared for the collection of information, based on the “Questionnaire for Evaluation and Conditioning of Lighting in Workplaces, for the lighting section; and for noise the: “Questionnaire: Noise: Ergonomic Evaluation and Conditioning”; obtaining that 12 jobs were relocated, in which no previous measurements have been made; For the different data collections, the methodology suggested by NTP 211 is used for measurements of lighting in workplaces, and the methodology suggested by the Superintendence of Occupational Risks, for measurements in common areas; and for the noise section, the methodology of NTP 270 is taken as a reference; With the help of a Super-Scientific 850007 luxmeter and a Cirrus CR:C162 sound level meter, the measurements are taken; the values are compared with the standard present in Decree 2393; giving as a result that 17.91% of the workstations present risk: 9 workstations are above 800 luxes and 3 workstations are below 300 luxes; for the noise part, no values are found that exceed the maximum levels; With the help of the hierarchical structure present in ISO 45001 and based on the document "Assessment and conditioning of lighting in Workplaces", the analysis of the positions that present inconveniences is carried out and solutions are proposed to mitigate the risk; minimal adjustments are made in the workstations; thus eliminating the irrigation present in said posts; this being a study of great contribution to the ergonomics of the company.
