The purpose of this research project was to propose the implementation of a mobile application for the adoption of rescued pets. In this context, data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews were used to identify the problems of the shelter in this process and also to gather the requirements for the development of the application. The growing awareness of animal welfare and the need to facilitate efficient adoption processes highlights the importance of this initiative. The methodology applied is based on the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, taking advantage of the flexibility and speed offered by this method to adapt to the changing needs of the project. The use of the Firebase platform as a database provides a secure and scalable structure to manage information related to pets and adopters. The main line of research is framed within Software Development, with an emphasis on creating practical and efficient solutions to concrete problems. Tasks such as banking operations, online shopping, entertainment activities, access to information, and essential services have transformed the way we interact with the world around us. The present research project focused on the development of a hybrid application aimed at enhancing the product marketing processes of the microenterprise "Tu Despensa El Tío," located in the city of Mocha. The application was created using modern technologies such as Ionic, Angular, Node.js, and Firebase, ensuring a scalable approach. The methodology employed was Mobile-D, consisting of five key phases: exploration, initialization, production, implementation, and testing. Each phase was systematically executed to ensure an agile and flexible project follow-up, allowing for adaptations and adjustments based on identified needs during the process. Data collection was carried out through surveys and interviews, providing valuable insights for the application's creation according to the specifications and expectations of "Tu Despensa El Tío." Additionally, Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage, were utilized to enhance usability and reliability. This project aims to implement an application for the management and notification of food security alerts of children residing in the "Casa de Fe Foundation" of the Shell canton of the province of Pastaza. This alert and management system will contribute to real-time monitoring of nutrition. children's growth and facilitating communication and interaction between health professionals and patients. The mobile application was developed using the Flutter framework designed by Google, which uses the Dart programming language and with the Visual Studio Code code editor as an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). In addition, mobile applications in education are often highly interactive and customizable, adapting to the individual needs of each student. By using visual elements, games, assessments and immediate feedback, mobile applications encourage student participation, engagement and motivation, resulting in more effective and meaningful learning. The present project aims to design a mobile application for learning Ecuadorian Sign Language. The application will have a variety of resources including structured lessons, instructional videos, interactive games, and an extensive sign vocabulary. In the development of this project, the Mobile-D methodology was used in order to obtain greater flexibility and agility to deal with possible changes that could arise during the development process. In addition, the Flutter development framework with the Dart programming language was used, which provided an efficient and versatile development environment. In addition, the "Cloud Firestore" service, provided by the Firebase platform, was used as a database, which was beneficial for data management and storage. Firebase provides a wide range of services, such as "Firebase Authentication" for user authentication, "Firebase Cloud Storage" for cloud storage and "Firebase Cloud Messaging" for push notifications, without the need to create separate services or a backend. Nowadays, companies have the need for intelligent transport systems (ITS), which benefit both users and the company, because it is more efficient in the use of available resources, infrastructure, and information. The aim of this project is to implement a mobile application for the management of bus routes and timetables on line 11 of the Tungurahua Public Transport Cooperative, in the processes related to the management and monitoring of the route, providing a technological tool for this purpose. The mobile application is focused on providing users with access to information on the service provided by the cooperative, as well as the established route, the stops that the buses pass through on their daily route and the real-time geolocation function. It also has functionalities for drivers, who can send their location when they are on their route. The application was developed using the Flutter framework with the Dart programming language and Visual Studio Code as the development IDE, in addition, firebase services were used to manage the database in the cloud, account registration, all this in conjunction with the Mobile - D application as a development methodology with the aim of having greater flexibility and speed in the face of changes during development.Item Aplicación móvil multiplataforma con gamificación para el aprendizaje del idioma inglés.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. However, the high cost of traditional learning methodologies leads many students to seek online resources that can be inefficient and quickly lose the student's initial motivation. In this research, the use of gamification in a mobile application focused on English language learning was explored with the goal of increasing user motivation and engagement. To do this, a literature review was conducted, and a survey was applied to students from online English learning communities as a means of collecting information. For the system's implementation, the cross-platform development framework Flutter was used to build the mobile application, allowing for greater efficiency in development and optimized performance. Additionally, Firebase was used as a platform for database management and real-time information storage, offering benefits such as increased scalability, flexibility, and security in the application. Publishing the application in app stores allowed for reaching a wider audience and the results obtained regarding user retention and activation, as well as positive ratings, indicate that the application was well-received by users. This reflects the importance of immersion in the English language as a key factor for effective learning and the usefulness of gamification as a tool for maintaining student motivation.Item Aplicación web basado en React para la inscripción en cursos y talleres de la Fundación San Anián de la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2023-03) Abril Ruiz, Ricardo Sebastián; Jara Moya, Santiago DavidNowadays, the use of new technologies has become a fundamental part of the development and progress for non-profit organizations, due to it serves as a tool to make themselves known, obtain socio-economic help, and advertise different services. Also, these technologies allow to get a better information management and automate any internal process. The purpose of this project is to help San Anián Foundation in the processes that are carried out for people registration in their courses, because they currently does it manually. For this, a web App implementation will optimize these processes, preventing loss information, and also it serves like a tool for advertising courses to other people. The web app was developed with the React library, which uses JavaScript. This library has different tools that improve the way to make apps such as Material UI and React Router DOM. The methodology applied for the development was Xtreme Programming (XP) due to the size of the project and different factors which influenced its choice. Finally, Firebase was used as a Back End technology because it has different functionalities, like Firestore, which is a NonSql database.Item Automatización del proceso de corte de perfilería de la empresa Construalvid mediante el uso de sistemas inteligentes Iot(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-03) Barahona Quispe, Carlos Geovanny; Salazar Logroño, Franklin WilfridoThe main purpose of this research was to develop an automation of the profile cutting process of the company CONSTRUALVID by means of programmed logic and intelligent IOT systems, in order to provide an adequate and innovative tool for the operation of this process. For the development of the proposed automation, a PLC S7 1200 1212 AC/DC/RY was used, in addition to a Xinje TouchWin HMI screen, which were programmed in TIA Portal and TouchWin Tool Edit respectively. As for the axis control, this is done using a Siemens signal board and it is programmed in TIA Portal through the technological objects that it offers. For the remote control of the process, the Siemens SIMANTIC IOT 2050 module is used, in which our local NODE-RED server is installed, being these together responsible for acquiring and sending data from the PLC to the UBIDOTS cloud server and vice versa. The alarms are displayed both locally on the HMI screen and remotely via a text message via Telegram. To keep track of the past events of the process, it is connected to the Firebase cloud database. The results achieved from the intelligent system are significant and in this way a functional system with a robust structure was obtained for the efficient development of the profile cutting process. On the other hand, for the remote control and monitoring system, very acceptable data was obtained mainly from the transmission and reception time of data from the UBIDOST cloud server to the PLC, resulting in times of 0.77 and 0.94 seconds respectively, as for the time of writing data from the PLC to Telegram and Firebase a time of 0.79 and 1.17 seconds was obtained respectively, which represents a quick response to a possible event. Finally, with the implementation of the system, an efficiency of 98.7% and a user (operator) satisfaction level of 95% was achieved.Item Aplicación web progresiva (PWA) utilizando una base de datos NOSQL para el control de vendedores y gestión de pedidos de la empresa Ambagro S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. An example of these new technologies that have become very popular for their multiple benefits are Progressive Web Applications. PWAs (Progressive Web Apps) are a combination of a web application and a native application, combining their benefits to provide a user-friendly experience. Over time, its popularity has been increasing since it can be used in a web browser or installed on a computer or smart phone without the need for a specific operating system, thus giving the advantage of maintaining and using the equipment that a company has. This project has been developed with the purpose of helping the company Ambagro S.A. in the processes involved in the creation and dispatch of orders generated by the company's vendors, as well as the control of the vendors by proposing a process which can meet the expectations of the requirements generated. All this hand in hand with the benefits provided by Progressive Web Applications. The project has been developed in the Angular 12 framework, which uses the TypeScript programming language, which has several useful libraries, such as @angular/pwa, which is used to create Progressive Web Applications in a simple way. The methodology used for the development of the project was Xtreme Programming (XP), since due to the size of the project and other factors it was the most appropriate methodology. Firebase was used as Backend since it has different useful services for the development of the system, as is the case of the NoSQL Firestore database.Item Aplicación con tecnología móvil para monitoreo, geolocalización en tiempo real, y control de las solicitudes y entregas de pedidos para la empresa motoencomiendas el flaco de la ciudad de Latacunga(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales e Informáticos, 2022-02) Cañizares Rivera, Jefferson Xavier; Buenaño Valencia, Edwin HernandoThe use of mobile devices today is very frequent and common, applied in different contexts, at work, business, studies and currently due to the health emergency, they are within the reach of most people, for this reason they have had a boom with the use of different applications that help in daily activities. This research project is aimed at developing applications for mobile devices, focused on monitoring, real-time geolocation, and control of requests and order deliveries for the company "Motoencomiendas el Flaco" in the city of Latacunga, because They do not have the computer platform that allows them to provide a better service to their customers. The project consists of three applications: one for the client requesting the order, in which it can be tracked, another application for the person in charge of delivering the order, called Motorized; and the last one for the administrator of the company, who is in charge of accepting or rejecting an order, and later assigning it to a motorized vehicle that is available. The application was developed with Ionic version 6, using the Angular framework that uses the Typescript programming language and implementing Capacitor to handle the native features of the mobile device. The development methodology used for the project was XP (Xtreme Programming), which emphasizes the technical aspects of software development and allows managing delivery times and end-user satisfaction. Firebase services were used as its Firestore database which synchronizes its data in real time.
