Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-09) Vélez Pinto, Jean Pierre; Mariño Rivera, ChristianThe present research project is aimed at workers in charge of the poultry sheds of the poultry company "Gutmalgranjalapaz Cia Ltda", because they do not have proper knowledge of the risks to which they are exposed in their workday and the company does not apply corrective measures due to lack of knowledge, the staff is prone to suffer from occupational diseases of the type Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) due to ergonomic risk by physical load The purpose of this research is to evaluate with ergonomic evaluation methods to determine the level of risk that is present in each of the ergonomic risks to which workers are exposed and with the results obtained to develop a proposed solution according to the importance of risk management Through the GTC-45 risk matrix the latent risks in the company were identified, which shows that with 67.78% the ergonomic risks are the most common, having an acceptance level of NOT ACCEPTABLE. The method applied for repetitive movements Check List OCRA in the egg collection area resulted in a HIGH UNACCEPTABLE The method applied for repetitive movements Check List OCRA in the egg collection activity in the casing area gives as a result that the activity presents a HIGH UNACCEPTABLE risk level in the GINSHT evaluation for manual lifting of load obtained that, the first three workers have a TOLERABLE risk level due to their experience while the other workers have a NOT TOLERABLE nsk level, and finally the Snook and Ciriello evaluation method applied for load pushing gives as a result that the lifting index is MODERATE but due to its high value there is a risk of injury to the workers. The data obtained from the evaluations carried out show that workers are prone to suffer occupational diseases or MSDs. In order to protect the health of workers, solutions are proposed according to the importance of risk management, which involve the source, the environment and the individual, as well as administrative controls and signalingItem Riesgo ergonómico derivado de la actividad manual en los operarios del departamento de producción de la empresa Reencauchadora de la Sierra, Caucho Sierra S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-09) Chuncha Ashqui, Erika Carolina; Morales Perrazo, Luis AlbertoAccording to the International Labour Organization (ILO), musculoskeletal disorders account for 59% of all occupational diseases worldwide. One of the causes of this issue is ergonomic risks associated with forced postures, repetitive movements, manual lifting of loads, among other risk factors. Therefore, the research objective is to assess the ergonomic risk arising from manual activities among the workers in the production department of the company Reencauchadora de la Sierra, Caucho Sierra S.A. The research was of a descriptive nature, based on ergonomic assessment methods within a population of six (6) males, in the areas of reaming, banding, and vulcanization; the results determined that in the vulcanization area, two workers are exposed to a high level of risk (score 10) due to postural load, evaluated using the REBA method; in the reaming area, three workers are exposed to a moderate level of disergonomic risk (score 1.5) due to manual lifting of loads evaluated by the NIOSH method, and an unacceptable level of risk (score 22.5) for repetitive movements evaluated with the OCRA method; finally, in the buffing area, one worker has an unacceptable risk level (score 22.5) due to repetitive movements evaluated with the OCRA method. It is concluded that the studied workforce population is overexposed to disergonomic risks due to postural load, manual lifting of loads, and repetitive movements that could affect their health. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2023-09) Mendes Ortiz, Henry Ricardo; Mariño Rivera, Christian JoséThis research project is focused on analysing the ergonomic risk factors in the poultry sheds of the company "Avícola Pérez", in order to determine the main causes that generate musculoskeletal disorders and ailments, analysing the working conditions to identify the tasks that affect the physical deterioration of the workers. Implementing various research and evaluation methodologies, such as; the Kuorinka Nordic questionnaire that allowed us to determine the most affected body areas (neck, dorsal and lumbar area). The ISO TR 12295:2014 technical standard allowed us to determine that manual lifting of loads, repetitive movements and pushing or pulling loads are the ergonomic risk factors with the highest prevalence in the tasks performed by the workplace. The assessment of the ergonomic risk due to repetitive movements was carried out using the OCRA Check List method, showing an "Uncertain and Unacceptable" risk level in the poultry shed worker position. For the risk due to manual lifting of loads, the INSHT Technical Guide was used, showing a "Not tolerable" risk level in relation to the weight handled in a single lift and the total weight transported daily (PTTD) presented a "Tolerable" risk level. Finally, the risk from load pushing was assessed using ISO 11228-2:2019 in conjunction with the Snook and Ciriello Tables showing an "Unacceptable" risk level. Based on these results, a proposal for improvement is put forward that focuses on preventing, correcting and controlling the working conditions to which workers are exposed, through the use of intervention strategies and the development of instructions in order to safeguard the integrity and health of employees.
