Carrera de Software, 2025-02) Ortiz Arcos Marco Antonio; Ibarra Torres Oscar FernandoThe integration of digital technologies by visually impaired individuals poses a significant challenge to achieving accessibility on communication platforms. According to the INEC, in the canton of Ambato, located in the province of Tungurahua, approximately 1,127 people with visual impairments face barriers in using social networks due to the lack of appropriate tools and incompatibility with assistive technologies. This project aims to implement an assisted messaging system with natural language processing to facilitate interaction for visually impaired individuals on social networks such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, and email. It leverages technologies such as voice synthesis and recognition, along with auditory feedback, to enhance accessibility, improve efficiency, and reduce message delivery times. Additionally, it incorporates multimedia content search and playback, promoting digital inclusion and fostering greater technological integration. The project development process begins with requirements gathering through interviews conducted using a questionnaire based on the IEEE 830 standard. For system development, React was used for the frontend and Node.js for the backend. Firebase served as the database manager, while Dialogflow was employed for natural language processing. The applied methodology was Extreme Programming, tailored to the project's specific needs. The governmental area is one of the beneficiaries of this innovation where mobile applications have been of importance to have transparency and citizen participation. The main objective of this project is to develop a mobile application for the management of petitions and suggestions in the parish of Santa Rosa in the canton of Ambato. The research is framed within the research line of Information Technology and Control Systems in the area of Database and Computer Systems. The development of the application was carried out under the Mobile Sprint Model methodology, which allowed an agile and adaptive development to the needs of the project. Flutter was used for the Frontend development with its Dart programming language while Node.js was used for the business logic of the application using the JavaScript programming language. Information management was carried out using PostgreSQL as a relational database manager. The result obtained from this project is a mobile application that facilitates the citizens of the parish of Santa Rosa to communicate their needs in real time and also contributes to the administration with a transparent management in the handling of requests and suggestions. Carrera de Tecnologías de la Información, 2022-09) Chanatasig Maigua, Edwin Esteban; Ibarra Torres, Oscar FernandoThe impact of technological development has been undeniable in recent years, having a great impact on different areas, whether business or social; institutions that provide health services are no exception, as most of them make use of technological tools and computer systems that help them to manage the activities they must carry out. The implementation of a multi-platform web system is the main objective of this research project. The application has a series of functions that help to manage activities such as: registration of appointments, filtering of available schedules, sending WhatsApp’ messages reminders of assigned appointments, as well as the administration of data and clinical history of patients that were previously done manually. The web system was developed with a real-time execution environment based on JavaScript called node.js, which allowed the implementation of the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture and provides a cross-platform environment. The database manager used was MariaDB which guarantees security and accessibility to data while protecting the integrity of these, the implementation was done on a server in the cloud that has Linux operating system specifically the Alma Linux distro under the domain novadentsalud.com. The Extreme Programming (XP) methodology was applied to control the application development process for better management of activities.
