Carrera de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales e Informáticos, 2025-02) Caiza Cali Richard Fabricio; Guevara Aulestia David OmarIn the field of information security, it is important to have efficient backup systems to protect relevant company information. “GALA IMPORTACIONES is currently facing challenges regarding the security of its information due to system failures and the lack of a backup system. Thus, in order to improve this aspect, the need to implement a backup server based on Open Source technology was identified, which will improve passive security and optimize the company's data management. Thus, this work shows the selection of the best Open Source tool according to the requirements of the company in terms of optimizing the use of resources, reducing backup times and improving the quality of information protection; and its consequent implementation and analysis of the tests performed. In addition, it was determined that the implementation of a passive security system, along with data integrity verification mechanisms, is essential to ensure that the company's critical information remains protected and accessible at all times. This system not only guarantees data availability in the event of a restoration but also allows for the combination of backup strategies, such as full and incremental backups, tailored to the specific needs of each department. In this way, a balance is achieved between resource efficiency and robust information protection, ensuring that backup processes are both agile and reliable. These results are expected to help “GALA IMPORTACIONES” improve its level of passive security, reducing the risk of information loss, minimizing downtime and optimizing operational efficiency, which will lead to greater competitiveness and profitability in the long term.Item Aplicación del sistema de contenedores Docker, como alternativa a sistemas de virtualización para mejorar el testeo de aplicaciones en un entorno de desarrollo C#(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Information technologies are being updated and it is necessary to be constantly trained to always be at the forefront of each new implementation that exists. In the computer environment it is necessary to know how hardware and software work in order to provide the best service to those who need it; due to the demand that technologies have had in recent years, companies have chosen to improve their computer resources by entering the world of resource reduction. Within virtualization, we want to limit the use of resources to reduce costs and improve the performance of companies, since what a company wants is for its computer environment to be firm and sustainable to get ahead. The developers of the companies have chosen to use virtualization through virtual machines or containers for the use of multiple operating systems on a single server for the execution of applications developed on them without consuming too many resources. This project aims to demonstrate the use of virtual machines and containers in the testing of applications specifically developed in C#, it carries out a comparative Benchmarking between the two virtualization methods demonstrating which is optimal in terms of boot time, speed, performance, and use of resources. It generates 2 environments: The first is a Docker AlmaLinux 8.6 container and the second a AlmaLinux 8.6 virtual machine installed by means of KVM, in both the same application was tested and data was captured determining which one is best for testing applications generating firm conclusions for future companies to start applying it.Item Estandarización de los procedimientos de contratación pública y su incidencia en la gestión de los Gobiernos Autónomos Descentralizados de la Zona Centro del País(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Maestría en Gestión de Operaciones, 2018) Cañar Jiménez, María Emperatriz; Reyes Vásquez, John PaúlEste trabajo se enfoca en analizar el inadecuado modelo de gestión en contratación pública en los gobiernos autónomos descentralizados de la Zona Centro del País, con el objetivo de estandarizar los procedimientos de Contratación Pública para analizar su incidencia en su gestión. Caso de estudio el gobierno autónomo descentralizado Municipalidad de Ambato, para lo cual se realiza un control y seguimiento de los procesos de Contratación Pública en la fase contractual a través de una herramienta que permita generar alertas inteligentes o recordatorios de cumplimiento a los administradores de contrato designados por la máxima autoridad o su delegado. Para determinar las falencias de la unidad de contratación pública del GADMA se utilizó a investigación estratégica y de campo dando seguimiento al personal que tiene relación directamente con los procesos de contratación pública, así también se estructuró un macroproceso para la fase contractual, por cuanto su principal falencia es el alto porcentaje de incumplimiento en la finalización de procesos en el Sistema SOCE, siendo así el año 2016 el 94% y el año 2017 el 51%, mismos que conllevarían a incurrir en observaciones de los organismos de control. Se desarrolló un aplicativo de alertas inteligentes que permitió mejorar la gestión en la finalización de los procesos de contratación del GAD municipalidad de Ambato. Como resultado el porcentaje de cumplimiento de finalización de procesos en el 2016 fue de 19% respecto al monto de adjudicación y el 43% en cuanto al número de procesos pendientes por finalizar, y en el 2017 el porcentaje fue 22% en relación al monto y el 32% por número de procesos. Se disminuyó considerablemente el índice de incumplimiento de procesos no finalizados. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This work has been carried out with the objective of standardizing the procedures of Public Procurement, to analyze its impact on the management of decentralized governments in the Central Zone of the Country. Study case: the decentralized autonomous government Municipality of Ambato. for which a control and monitoring of the processes of Public Procurement in the contractual phase is carried out through a tool that allows to generate intelligent alerts or reminders of compliance to contract's administrators appointed by the highest authority or its delegate. To determine the shortcomings of GADMA's public procurement unit, strategic and field research was used, following up on personnel directly related to public procurement processes, A macro process was also structured for the contractual phase, since its main shortcoming is the high percentage of noncompliance in the completion of processes in the SOCE System, with 94% in 2016 and 51% in 2017, which would entail to incur observations of the control entities. An intelligent alert application was developed that allowed improving the management of the decentralized autonomous government of the municipality of Ambato. From the implementation of intelligent alerts in a time of thirty days as a pilot test, a percentage of completion of processes was obtained in 2016 of 19% with respect to the award amount and 43% in terms of the number of pending processes to be completed, In the same way in the year 2017 a percentage of 22% was achieved in relation to the amount and 32% by number of processes.
