    Calidad de servicio (QOS) para la optimización del tráfico en la red lan del Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo de la Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana

    This project details the implementation of Quality of Service (QoS) policies for the Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo de la Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana network, with the objective of efficiently managing and prioritizing network traffic, improving the performance of the infrastructure for providing stability, scalability and adequate support to the institution's important applications. The research was developed using the Cisco's PPDIOO methodology, allowing the work to be structured in several phases. The analysis of the current state of the network, identification of areas for improvement and design of solutions focused| on optimizing the use of bandwidth by identifying the ports and protocols used by applications. The experimental process focused on establishing a functional QoS scheme in a simulated network environment, prioritizing applications based to their importance and requirements. This process included the segmentation of the network using VLANs, the implementation of traffic shaping by assigning bandwidth policies for the different types of traffic and marking packets with DSCP values. Additionally, the queuing type on the institution's FortiGate device was configured to ensure optimal traffic management based on established priorities. Finally, the results obtained allowed to evaluate the advantages of using QoS and to determine the optimization of the traffic that the CIDFAE network can take, promoting a more robust network prepared for growth and the adoption of new technologies.

    Gestión y calidad de servicio para una red IPTV con tecnología GPON

    At present, fiber optic networks have become the main means for the distribution of multimedia content at a global level, they provide networks with a large bandwidth for the flow of traffic that passes through their infrastructure, GPON is one of the most widely used standards for the deployment of fiber optic networks, however disorderly growth and limited management policies have caused the services provided by these networks to degrade, where end users receive deficient services. The company FASTER_ISP has a GPON network to provide Internet access to its end customers, which has an ODN infrastructure and an internal plant with good characteristics, however, it does not have a management system and QoS service quality, causing various technical problems in its operation and functioning, where there are various problems for the distribution of multimedia services such as IPTV, Video calls, Online games, Streaming, etc. The objective of this scientific research is to provide a management system and quality of service for IPTV and restructure the GPON network of FASTER_ISP, in the first instance the operation of this type of network is analyzed, conceptualizing its main elements and characteristics, followed From this, the current state of the network is determined, where by means of field views and information gathering, its entire infrastructure is determined, the class of equipment that is being used, its mode of operation and end-user management. With the information obtained, a solution is analyzed and proposed that allows to improve the administration of the network with respect to the multimedia services that are delivered to the end users of FASTER_ISP, so that by means of an operation algorithm the GPON network of FASTER_ISP is managed with perimeter security and quality of service policies, as well as the use of an optical budget for the construction of the last mile network, and finally it is determined that for the distribution of IPTV, it is necessary to implement a local IPTV server, on a dedicated line for video that guarantees the quality of experience of the users in the reception of this service. For the implementation of the proposed system, it is first verified that the last mile facilities meet the optical budget requirements, followed by configurations in the Core and edge equipment, with efficient security and quality of service policies, once This ends, we proceed to the installation of the local IPTV XTREAM server, the same one that allows the distribution of video content, over the local network, optimizing resources and guaranteeing the quality of the QoE experience. Finally, the corresponding tests are carried out, determining that the implemented system meets all the objectives proposed in the investigation.

    Implementación de Calidad de Servicio (QoS), en las redes inalámbricas de la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito “San Alfonso Ltda.”

    En el presente proyecto de investigación se realizó la implementación donde se aplicó Calidad de Servicio (QoS) en una red inalámbrica, utilizando herramientas de configuración en equipos Mikrotik, previamente analizados e instalados en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito “San Alfonso Ltda.” En el contexto de este trabajo, los procesos han constituido transformaciones en la división de recursos como Datos, VoIP y Seguridad, que se han realizado con diferentes parámetros de medición en el ancho de banda utilizado y posteriormente se ha ejecutado un análisis con la intención de encontrar los resultados factibles para su repartición. Se implementó un sistema de Calidad de Servicio (QoS), en la Cooperativa, y verifico diferentes resultados en la infraestructura lógica de la red, dando una mejora en el flujo de datos al crear una prioridad en la transmisión de los servicios de acuerdo a su mayor y menor necesidad.     Calidad de Servicio (QoS) para el mejoramiento de la Red de Datos en la Fábrica de Calzado LIWI

    La provincia de Tungurahua debido a su ubicación en nuestro país y al ser una ciudad industrializada se ha convertido en una de las ciudades más importantes dentro del desarrollo tecnológico y de implementar tecnologías en base a las telecomunicaciones, esto obliga a las empresas proveedoras de este servicio que se estén actualizando permanentemente tanto sus equipos como los recursos para poder atender de manera oportuna estas demandas de la comunidad y de nuestro país. La fábrica de calzado LIWI, en la provincia de Tungurahua al ser una empresa en pleno desarrollo y crecimiento tiene la necesidad de seguir implementado nuevos equipos con tecnología IP a la Red de Datos las cuales al no tener estándares de ningún tipo conllevan a saturar los recursos de la red y a producir pérdidas de tiempo y dinero. El presente trabajo de graduación mediante la configuración de los equipos de comunicaciones, la implementación de protocolos y estándares de calidad de servicio, además con un diseño adecuado del cableado estructurado pretende solucionar los problemas de congestión y retardos de información que debido a la escalabilidad del medio existen en esta red de datos.

    Reestructuración de la red inalámbrica para la optimización de los servicios de Datos, Voip y Video vigilancia en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Kullki Wasi

    El desarrollo del presente trabajo de investigación tiene como propósito optimizar las comunicaciones inalámbricas externas de la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Kullki Wasi, con el objetivo de reestructurar la infraestructura física y lógica de las mismas. En el primer capítulo se determina el problema, el mismo que radica en la inexistencia de una red inalámbrica confiable y segura lo que ha provocado deficiencias en la transmisión de datos, voip y video de vigilancia en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Kullki Wasi, además se determinan los objetivos que se desea alcanzar con la propuesta, el cual es implementar una red inalámbrica para la optimización de los servicios de datos, voip y video de vigilancia. En el capítulo dos se detallan las bases teóricas de la tecnología wifi 802.11n mimo y calidad de servicio (QoS), su funcionamiento, estructura y las diferentes aplicaciones que tienen estas tecnologías para ser utilizadas en la Cooperativa. En el capítulo tres la metodología describe las formas y métodos de cómo se procedió para resolver el problema, el tipo de investigación que se realizó. En el capítulo cuatro se describe la historia de la Cooperativa y la situación actual de la misma referente al estado de sus comunicaciones inalámbricas, además se hace un análisis de los resultados de la encuesta aplicadas entre el Gerente General, el Jefe del Departamento de Sistemas y los empleados de soporte técnico de la Cooperativa. En el capítulo cinco se describen las conclusiones que se obtuvieron durante el análisis de resultados tomados de las encuestas y las recomendaciones para el desarrollo de la propuesta. Finalmente en el capítulo seis se describe la propuesta, todo lo concerniente a la reestructuración de la red inalámbrica para la optimización de los servicios de datos, voip y video de vigilancia, equipos y antenas de comunicaciones inalámbricas, también se describen las configuraciones y procedimientos utilizados en los nuevos equipos adquiridos para la infraestructura restructurada
