The companies dedicated to the washing and dyeing of garments, suffer an impact by not having plans for risk management being affected economically and socially. The three main problems faced by the CONFECCIONES RAM JEANS company are: machinery where failures occur due to mishandling of these causing delays in deliveries, processes that are not standardized tend to have errors in their execution and personnel in charge who do not have the appropriate knowledge to perform their daily tasks. For this reason, an operational risk management study is proposed in which the identification of risks is carried out through an interview under the NTP 107 standard, information collection sheets and other techniques and instruments; then the risk assessment is carried out applying the FMEA methodology that serves to determine the level of priority of the same, using its level of severity, occurrence and detectability. Finally, under the international standard ISO 31000:2018, strategies were ruled to be able to carry out the treatment of risks; in this way, obtaining a maintenance plan to be able to maintain the availability of the equipment; the risk resume, which plays a fundamental role in documenting the origin of the failures, and finally an indicator plan in order to carry out a periodic evaluation of the proposed plan..

This research project is to standardise the production processes used in the manufacture of footwear in the company KF Barona, for which it was essential to analyse the current state of the company through a survey of information on the processes in which footwear manufacturing procedures, production time and time standards are exhibited, in order to have a global vision, diagrams and a process map were drawn up. With the information gathered through the collection of information by means of time analysis and the valuation of activities that add value, procedure manuals were drawn up for each production area. These documents contain complete, detailed and concise information on the procedures or steps to be followed at each stage of footwear manufacture with the respective persons responsible for each activity. An analysis of the activities that add value was applied, determining which of them are necessary and which are not, establishing criteria for improvement through the elimination, combination or reduction of activities, establishing new standard times for the execution of activities. A strategic plan is developed, which proposes two plans for supporting and improving production, the first is the training plan for incorporating new working methods based on simplification of tasks and production times, optimisation of the work processes, and the creation of a new production process.

The plant layout is the way to properly locate machines, tools and workers to make the best use of the resources available to the industries. The main objective of this research project is to propose an adequate distribution of facilities for an industrial workshop dedicated to metalworking in different areas such as locksmithing, structuring and stainless steel, which is adapted to the production of the products offered by the workshop, reducing time and unnecessary transfers. In order to achieve these objectives, data is collected by means of information gathering techniques to know the current status of the company, its processes, products, etc., and then we proceed to obtain its star products and determine the standard time for each one of them. The appropriate type of distribution is selected with selection matrices and by means of the ordering and evaluation algorithms the appropriate distribution for the workshop is chosen, then the surface required for the distribution is established with the help of Guerchet's method and two alternatives are proposed, which are evaluated by means of the distance load method. By means of a selection matrix, the lean methodology tools are incorporated to the proposal, and with the help of the FlexSim simulation, the results obtained are compared between the current situation of the company and the proposed proposal. It is estimated that the time reduction is presented in 4.35% and the process routes in 69.87%, therefore, for this investment an investment of $22,080.00 is required with a recovery time of 1 year and 36 days.
