Item Desarrollo de la metodología lean Healthcare como estrategia de mejora y reducción de desperdicios en la bodega de medicina y farmacia del IESS Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2024-08) Gallo Sánchez, Marlon Andrés; Naranjo Chiriboga, Israel ErnestoIn investigating the wastes at the Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social (IESS) Ambato, specifically the request for medications outside the scheduled dispatch day in the medicine warehouse and errors in the preparation of medication cassettes in the inpatient pharmacy such as medications requiring others for administration, indicated but not prescribed medications, or under-dosing the aim is to develop the Lean Healthcare methodology as a strategy for improvement and waste reduction in both areas of IESS Ambato. Through analysis of orders, reports, and medication documentation from March and April 2024, coupled with a time study, a Value Stream Map (VSM) was created to evaluate the current situation. Various quantifications of wastes employed Pareto diagrams and U control charts for analysis. Among the wastes identified in both areas were defects, unnecessary transportation, waiting times, and overproduction (exclusively in the pharmacy). To mitigate these issues, manuals were developed explaining the use of tools such as poka-yoke for defects, the 5S methodology with continuous flow for waiting times, and kanban for unnecessary transportation and overproduction. The implementation of the Lean Healthcare methodology is an effective strategy to identify and eliminate these wastes, potentially reducing waiting times by an estimated 13% and minimizing errors in medication preparation and distribution by approximately 7%. Through the application of Lean tools, the aim is to improve operational efficiency and medical care for patients.Item Sistema multiplataforma de código abierto para resolución de problemas de programación lineal utilizando el framework flutter(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Software, 2024-02) López García, Luis Steeven; Guachimbosa Villalba, Victor HugoIn the present work, the implementation of an open-source multiplatform application for solving Linear Programming problems of Operations Research using the Flutter framework is addressed. Several specialized applications for linear programming have been developed. Of these, PhpSimplex, OpenSolver, and Tora stand out for their usefulness, for students and professionals. Some of these programs may, on one hand, present compatibility problems with modern operating systems. Moreover, they may lack an offline mode, limiting their accessibility and usefulness when connectivity is not guaranteed. Likewise, the dependence on paid software packages is a barrier for users. First, analysis of bibliographic material, referring to the graphic, algebraic, and simplex algorithms has been carried out, thus, their applicability in different scenarios is tried. Second, the effectiveness and versatility of the Flutter framework in the development of multiplatform applications has been highlighted, taking advantage of its high performance and rapid development cycle, to generate consistent user interfaces. Furthermore, the Kanban methodology has been successfully implemented and has allowed an efficient management of the project. The purpose of this project is the development of a web system for the Corporation of Community Associations of Cotopaxi and Tungurahua, which will help the automation of information of the processes of registration of attendance to activities and letters from children, the same that will be done quickly and effectively, obtaining an organization of data to get more influx of children in the Corporation. The most relevant concepts will also be presented, in order to be able to develop and implement the web system, with the appropriate techniques and methodologies according to the user's requirements. Maestría en Producción y Operaciones Industriales, 2023-04) Vargas Flores, Patricio Daniel; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaEl presente proyecto de investigación está enfocado en desarrollar un modelo de diseño de implementación de herramientas de manufactura esbelta en la empresa Mikrocartón, la cual se denomina como una organización dedicada a la fabricación de cajas de cartón de pizza, zapatos y todo tipo de empaques. El objetivo de la presente investigación es de diseñar un modelo de aplicación de las herramientas de manufactura esbelta para optimizar el proceso de producción en una empresa de fabricación en derivados de cartón. La información necesaria para llevar a cabo el objeto de estudio ha sido dirigida mediante la esquematización de un diagrama de VSM (Value stream mapping), el cual ha sido punto de partida para el diagnóstico de la organización. Se determinaron valores de takt time, lead time y producción estimada para determinar sus niveles de operación y ciclos del flujo de materiales, así como también el análisis de sus procesos estratégicos. Mediante los datos obtenidos por observaciones en campo se definieron los desperdicios y las pérdidas ocasionadas en el proceso de producción de cajas de pizza según el método de factores ponderados siendo estas mudas los tiempos de espera, inventario y transporte. Con la identificación de estos defectos en el proceso se procedió a analizar las herramientas de manufactura esbelta que podrían disminuir el porcentaje de actividades que no agregan valor. El estudio permitió identificar las herramientas de manufactura esbelta que permitirían optimizar los procesos de producción y reducir el desperdicio, basada en la reducción de tiempos de espera, las herramientas más viables en la empresa fueron 5S para fomentar la organización, limpieza, orden y estandarizado de proceso; Kaizen para determinar propuestas de mejora prontas y concretas a situaciones impredecibles y Kanban para determinar metodologías de tableros y tarjetas para facilitar el control de inventario. In the present project, SEO techniques were developed through Crawl Budget to achieve an increase in the ranking of the website of the Educational Unit "La Merced", for which tools were used such as: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google My Business and Google Maps, the same ones that allow to show results, reports and tracking errors of the website and add information about the Institution so that it can be viewed from any device. The proposed methodology is Kanban because it has well-defined processes to be fulfilled periodically, it allows updating the tasks and evidencing the other pending, in process and finished activities. An analysis was done and it was shown that the web page did not have a good positioning and needed to improve the content, design and structure. Allowing you to better develop your daily work, through technology innovation, offering an efficient customer service. Even that the company has an internal control of everything that is being done. Throughout the process, various tools will be used to gather information, including staff interviews and customer surveys. All this information will be analyzed and processed to define each requirement that the company needs to be implemented within the web system. Finally, all the necessary tests will be carried out for the verification of the system, once these tests have been completed, the web system will be implemented in the EPC Compu company. One of the company's practices is the optimization of resources through free software tools, in which the optimization of these can be controlled in a better way, achieving the company's objectives of offering a better service to its clients. It is not only necessary to consider which are the free software tools, but also to ensure the protection of the information and its integrity, allowing the user to have confidence in the application, to achieve this protection it is done through Sophos, which one of the functions prevents SQL injection from being done to the application. The project was implemented in a virtualized manner in ESXi, as a virtualization container, in which a virtual machine with the Debian 10 operating system was created, in which a LAMP configuration was made through which the GLPI tool could be implemented (Open-Source tool), which will control the inventory of both INCOMSIS and its clients. In addition to using Sophos, all the company's incoming and outgoing traffic will pass through it. In Sophos, a WAF was configured through which it will be possible to view the application on the Internet. Finally, for the control of processes and tasks, the Kanban methodology is used to achieve greater control of what was done.Item Aplicación de herramientas de manufactura esbelta para la disminución de desperdicios en el área de terminado de la producción de pieles(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Producción y Operaciones Industriales, 2021) Valdés Paucar, Verónica Elizabeth; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaThis project is aimed at the leather industry that is positioned among the most important of Tungurahua Province in Tenería San José, a more than 40 years old company in the industry in Ambato City. Leather manufacturing involves complicated processes that require an adequate process to obtain quality garments. The project aims to eliminate bottlenecks and waste in the leather finishing process. This area has activities and operations such as: coloring, pressing, ironing, measuring and storage. This project development begins with times measurement to carry out a time and motion study of the operations for the production with the highest rotation within the company. Next, an initial diagnosis was made using tools such as value flow maps to eliminate activities that have not added value. The 5S methodology was implemented, starting from a current evaluation of the plant, the changes and actions required by this tool are applied and implementation is evaluated to perform a numerical analysis. Other tools are proposed in the project due to different factors, for example, for the existence of bottlenecks, line balancing is proposed. For the lack of control and production planning, a proposal is established with the Kanban tool. In addition, the application of visual control is proposed to have a better communication and facilitate the production flow in the plant. The research proposes possible formats for the implementation of each of these techniques and to standardize, as well as certain indicators that could be useful for the identification of improvement and production compliance.
