    Sistema de gestión de recomendaciones de la Contraloría General del Estado para el “Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipalidad de Ambato”

    In Ecuador, the Comptroller General of the State (CGE) supervises the use of state resources in the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Governments (Municipal GADs) through audits that generate crucial recommendations. The Municipality of Ambato faces difficulties in tracking and implementing these recommendations due to inefficient systems, making it challenging to meet the established deadlines. This project aimed to develop and implement a recommendation management system using Oracle APEX and the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology to improve efficiency and effectiveness in managing these recommendations. The system leveraged Oracle APEX for integration with existing technologies, while the XP methodology facilitated agile and collaborative development. Additionally, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) was used to optimize work processes, allowing for the automation and centralization of information, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors. To evaluate the usability of the system, a survey based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was applied, validated with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.95, indicating high internal consistency. The results revealed a high acceptance of the system among users, demonstrating its effectiveness and efficiency. Thus, the developed system has significantly optimized the management of recommendations, improving internal communication. The use of Oracle APEX and the XP methodology has laid the foundation for future improvements and technological expansions within the institution, thereby promoting better use of state resources and greater transparency in management.

    This research focuses on the implementation of a web-based system for automotive loan quotations at UNINOVA S.A., an auxiliary services company in Ambato, using Oracle Cloud and Oracle APEX. The agile XP methodology was chosen for its ability to facilitate continuous communication and feedback with users, enhancing each project iteration. The need to modernize and optimize the currently inefficient and costly automotive loan quotation processes drove the development of this system. The primary objective of this project is to automate and improve manual quotation processes, significantly reducing time and operational costs. The implementation of Oracle Cloud and Oracle APEX provides a scalable solution accessible from any device, eliminating reliance on traditional infrastructures. The XP methodology, with its iterative and collaborative approach, enabled the development of a robust system tailored to the specific needs of UNINOVA S.A. The developed system includes modules for data management, report generation, and control panels, enhancing operational efficiency and user experience. Oracle Cloud ensures high performance and data security, while Oracle APEX facilitates agile and efficient web application development. This project not only optimizes internal quotation processes but also extends the reach and quality of services offered to associated automotive dealerships.

    Aplicación web usando python para el registro de la ficha médica y control de la posología para el Consulorio Médico “DUOMEDIC”

    The present research project focuses on the development and implementation of a web application for médical record management and dosage control for the médical office "DuoMedic." The application was developed to provide users with efficient and optimized access to médical records of patients. The application allows for the manipulation of data, including creating, deleting, editing, and displaying patients' médical records. It also generates detailed digital médical prescriptions to avoid prescription errors, which can then be sent to the patient. The application was developed using the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology to manage its development, enabling appropriate and organized changes. The application utilizes Django version 5.0.6 as its development framework, which incorporates the Model-View-Template (MVT) structure to assist with data flow registration. The database management system used for data manipulation was PostgreSQL version 16.3, providing security, robustness, and data accessibility. The backend was deployed on the cloud service platform Heroku.

    Aplicación web con tecnología de realidad virtual para la gestión del proceso de ventas de autobuses en la empresa Ambabus

    In the current context, new technologies transform the way we interact with the world. For this reason, Ambabus proposes to be at the forefront through the development and implementation of an innovative web application. The main objective is to optimize the company's sales process, taking advantage of technological tools, in order to improve the customer experience. The web application was developed with technologies such as: Angular, Laravel and Bootstrap, and It follows the XP methodology to guarantee an agile development and user friendly. It also integrates with a MySQL database, that provides a robust platform to manage key information of customers, buses and sales. On the other hand, the central focus of the application is to optimize sales process time. It means that it seeks to reduce waiting times and improv the comprehensive management of clients and sales. In this way, the customer is allowed to virtually explore the buses before physically visiting the company, offering them a unique experience supporte d by virtual reality technology. Booking management is simplified through the app, with the ability to send email notifications after a customer books a bus. This component adds a level of coexistence for both clients and company staff, which facilitates an effective and timely communication. The choice of modern technologies and the adoption of agile development practices reflect the company's commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. For which it not only seeks to upgrade its internal operation, It also seeks to stand out in the market.

    Aplicación web usando contenedores para la gestión de cursos de actualización de conocimientos de estudiantes del Centro de Posgrados de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato

    El propósito de este proyecto fue automatizar los procesos de gestión de cursos de actualización de conocimientos del Centro de Posgrados de la UTA. Esto se llevó a cabo mediante la implementación de una aplicación Web, que tiene como objetivo simplificar y controlar de manera eficiente el proceso e información de estos cursos. Este enfoque quiere contribuir a que estudiantes se puedan matricular de manera ágil y así poder culminar co n sus estudios. La aplicación Web fue desarrollada utilizando contenedores en el cual se eligió la herramienta Docker para esta gestión luego de realizar una comparación de herramientas que permitían gestionar contenedores. Esto ayudo a un desarrollo del aplicativo ágil y eficiente además que se acoplo de manera sencilla con el framework Laravel el cual se utilizó para el desarrollo de la aplicación web. El uso de Laravel favoreció en gran medida en el desarrollo de la aplicación ya que ofrecía algunas ventajas como el manejo de usuarios y seguridad, una de estas era la facilidad de roles y permisos usando librerías propias, así mismo su midleware permitía proteger las vistas según los permisos que tenga del usuario además de su autentificación. Asimismo, se implementó la metodología XP, la cual desempeñó un papel importante en el avance del proyecto al favorecer un proceso de desarrollo ordenado y eficaz. Como resultado, se logró ofrecer un software de buena calidad que satisface de manera integr al todos los requisitos y expectativas del cliente.

    Currently, web a pplications have acquired a fundamental and essential role in people’s daily activ ities . These tools improve processes in terms of efficiency and speed, by providing a higher level of support and assistance to the end user. The objective of this project is the development of a web application using the technology responsive web design for sche duling appointments at the Odontological Center "DENTALSIS" in order to automate this process that was done of manual form with the risk of loss of information. The development of the web application was conducted in accordance with the requirements defined by the institution. The Extreme Programming (XP) methodology was used for planning, designing, coding and testing of the product, which allowed efficient monitoring of the products of each requested process. The framework that was used for the back end was ASP.NET because of the advantages it has for front end development was implemented Bootstrap and the AdminLTE template that provide a set of predefined components, the database manager used was MySQL because it offers reliability, pe rformance, scalability, ease of use and compatibility with different operating systems.

    The use of responsive web applications have presented a boom as time goes by, so much so that most people prefer to keep in touch from their cell phones, leaving aside the computers. This project has the implementation of a responsive web system as a fundamental objective, the same that has different functions which are: manage all users who enter the system, separated by roles and each role has different views of the application, you can also manage all patients thus saving the necessary data of each one as well as prescribe their treatment and manage it, you can also manage all medical visitors who attend the medical office Neira, finally there is a full calendar where you can see the days, hours, weeks, months and years to properly manage a medical appointment that formerly were handled physically and without any control. The responsive web application was deployed in a Laravel language environment as BackEnd and with the help of Vue.js for the FrontEnd, Laravel has built-in Model View Controller (MVC), the same that helps the structure of the application in the part of data flow, the database manager used was MySQL that ensures security and accessibility to data while protecting the integrity of these, the implementation was performed on the CPanel server that provides free and paid version under the domain consulneira.com, for the control of the deliverables of each process required by the company for the development of the application, the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology was applied for an optimal management and development of the same, allowing all changes to be made in an adequate and organized manner.

    Currently, Ambacar Ltda. company has become strongly consolidated both locally and internationally for the excellence and high dedication in the provision of its automotive services, which has allowed it to distribute large amount of computer equipment’s in each of its service points, as they are able to provide the necessary resources for the correct exchange of information. This has led to take into consideration the importance of adequately controlling and monitoring each of the computer equipment’s, in order to provide the best benefits for the organization. For this reason, the present research project aims to implement a client-server system using SNMP protocol, to improve the process of communication, updating, visualization, monitoring and search with each of the previously installed agents in the computer equipment of the Ambacar Ltda. company, by using a web server. For this purpose, each of the components that are part of SNMP management were developed, ASN.1 was used for the development of the managed information base (MIB), to store the required control information, and C# for client development, which runs in the background on each of the computer equipment, to adequately receive and respond to each of the requests sent by the server. Finally, ASP.NET Framework was used for the development of the SNMP web server, using the layer programming model, in conjunction with the use of Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax to improve the design and communication between the client and server side, Additionally, the Extreme Programming (XP) agile methodology was applied to manage the software development process.

    The use of Information and Communications Technology (TIC) have presented a significant advance and a positive impact on the teaching-learning process, due to the technology contribution in the educational field actually is an essential factor to the competitions development. The objective of the research project is to implement a web application that has extracurricular activities to the academic reinforcement for the Basic General Education students of the “González Suárez” Educational Unit of Ambato city, with the purpose of improve the online education knowledge generated by the quarantine caused by COVID-19 pandemic, such as contributes to minimizing the knowledge difficulties of this teach modality. In the web application development has been used .Net core version 5 Framework, jointly with Clean Architecture for the application logic abstraction and PostgreSQL database manager. Additionally, Extreme Programming (XP) agile methodology was applied to manage the software development process.

    Sistema web para la gestión georreferenciada de los recorridos y horarios del servicio de buses de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato

    This project describes the creation of a web system with geolocation, made up of two applications, the web application is in charge of managing routes and schedules of the bus service of the Technical University of Ambato, any user of the university community will have access to it to view the information regarding the service, as well as the established routes and the real-time geolocation function, while the mobile application is focused for the exclusive use of drivers to send coordinates when they make their journey. The project is developed using the XP methodology and the layered architecture pattern, making use of the ASP.NET frameworks on the server side and the .NET Framework on the client side, that due to its degree of compatibility facilitated the integration of tools such as Visual Studio, which in turn offers different application models allowing the use web forms, used in the design of the user interface of the geolocation system, while for the development of the mobile application it was done under Xamarin technology. ASP .NET made it easy to create the server-side development environment using its tools such as Entity Framework. The implementation of the web system facilitated the management of routes and schedules of the bus service of the Technical University of Ambato, saving time and resources used in the administration, in turn improved the dissemination of the service information to the university community and being reflected in them in the ease of organization in the mobilizations to the different campuses. This is due to the easy identification of the information corresponding to the routes such as departure time, estimated time, arrival time and the routes on which the transport units are mobilized.
