Item Gestión de la cadena de abastecimiento de la empresa Agroindustrial KIPA Amaranto(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2023-09) Sánchez Contreras, Nicole Alejandra; Tigre Ortega, Franklin GeovannyThe objective of this research is to analyze the supply chain management in Kipa Amaranto agroindustrial company, which is dedicated to the production of healthy and nutritious products based on Andean products such as quinua and amaranth. During study development, storage problems were identified, which generate inefficiencies in their organization. Besides this, it was observed that the inventories lacked standards and policies, which raises doubts about the data reliability. Likewise, by not having supplier selection methods, the benefits that these strategies could provide are not being harnessed. As for the distribution of finished products, it is inefficient due to the lack of standards for their transportation. These findings highlight the need to propose improvements in supply chain management. The study began by analyzing the company's current situation through direct observation and interviews with the manager. Information was gathered using visual tools such as flow charts and control and follow-up tools such as checklists, and inefficiencies were synthesized in an Ishikawa diagram. Inventory improvements are proposed through the standards application, policies, as well as calculations for accurate management. Adittionally to the selection of vehicles for food transportation and standards for the same. In summary, the strategies and results derived from key calculations, such as safety stock, order points and economic order quantity, lead to a significant improvement in the company's inventory and warehouse management. Presented proposals and recommendations in terms of suppliers and distribution have the central objective of improving and driving informed decision making and resource optimization along the entire supply chainItem Implementación de una nueva línea de herramientas eléctricas mediante importación en la empresa EM Electronics(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2023-09) López Ruíz, Johan Andrés; Carranza Garcés, MauricioThe growing communication and interdependence on a global scale, known as globalization, have opened the doors between different countries to this dynamic process of exchange in economic, technological, political, social, and cultural aspects. Thus, in the year 1995, the World Trade Organization (WTO) was established. marking one of the decisive moments that integrated the majority of countries through treaties related to free trade, intellectual property, business regulations. and capital. among others. This boom has been largely supported by developed economies, and as a result, there has been a reduction in import tariffs for electronic equipment, which has positively contributed to the initiative for the country. Due to this increase in demand for electrical tools, an import analysis was proposed at the company EM ELECTRONICS. For this purpose, a bibliographic methodology was used to gather relevant documents for the research. Additionally, a field investigation was conducted to collect information. Based on these results, the electrical equipment and tools to be acquired were identified, and it was determined that the total cost of importation, including distributor expenses, maritime transportation, and customs duties, is advantageous. This means that new product lines can be implemented with more competitive prices in the market. Furthermore, the Net Present Value (NPV). Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Cost Benefit Ratio were calculated, all of which provided very favorable values. demonstrating that the investment will be profitable. In conclusion, the importation of a new line of electrical tool products at EM ELECTRONICS in the city of Ambato is feasible, given the available knowledge, necessary resources, customer support, and positive financial forecast.
