Item Riesgos mecánicos en los procesos productivos de la empresa SEGUVID(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Chiluisa Montesdeoca, Andrea Stefania; Tigre Ortega, FranklinThis research work is developed in the production processes of the company SEGUVID, located in the parish Augusto Martinez, in the city of Ambato, province of Tungurahua, a manufacturing company which is dedicated to the manufacture of tempered glass. The study is based on the identification, estimation and valuation of existing mechanical risks in the production processes, since there are several risk factors and sources of danger that generate damages or injuries to the employees who collaborate in the proper development of the activities in the company. The results obtained from the identification of hazards and risk estimation in the production processes and by means of the Triple Criteria Matrix PGV are as follows: 596 hazard sources of which 56 (9%) are physical, 7 (1%) chemical, 54 (9%) biological, 111 (19%) ergonomic, 101 (17%) psychosocial, 56 (9%) major accidents and 211 (35 %) are within mechanical. On the other hand, according to risk level there are 361 (60.57%) moderate, 218 (36.58%) major and 17 (2.85%) are intolerable. The NTP 330 methodology was used to evaluate 12 intolerable mechanical hazards, which resulted in 50% of them having an intervention level I, i.e. a critical situation that requires urgent corrections, while the other 50% have an intervention level II, which according to the methodology requires correction and the adoption of control measures. Therefore, for the control of these risks it is suggested to review the mechanical risk prevention program developed in the industrial safety plan. Finally, for risk control and as a preventive action, an industrial safety plan is prepared, which contains information about the company, risk assessment methods and a series of programs and procedures that contribute to the proper development of activities in the production area.Item Manufactura esbelta y su aplicación en el mejoramiento continuo del proceso productivo de templado de vidrio de la empresa SEGUVID(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-03) Chicaiza Criollo, Christian Eduardo; Tigre Ortega, Franklin GeovannyThe purpose of this research work is to analyze the lean manufacturing tools and their application in the continuous improvement of the glass tempering production process of the SEGUVID company. Talking about continuous improvement refers to the constant elimination or reduction of waste, which will not add value to the final product, so that the company is strategically positioned in an advantage over its competition, this through the efficient use of lean manufacturing tools. Due to the company's production lines, an ABC analysis of two (2) levels is carried out in order to select the line with the highest demand and the glass thickness with the highest requirement, resulting in clear structural glass of 10 millimeters with four perforations with a diameter of 19 millimeters. For the analysis of the tools, the collection of process information is required, therefore, a time study is developed that serves as the basis for the development of the value flow map, the identification of waste and, consequently, the approach of a proposal that allows continuous improvement. The identified wastes cover a total of four being these: (1) Waiting, (2) Transportation, (3) Inventory and (4) Reprocessing, for which an improvement proposal is established using lean manufacturing tools such as Process Optimization. Process to reduce the standard time by 40.00% in the cutting process, Visual Control to improve the flow of documents and production orders, Line Balancing to improve the theoretical daily production capacity from (189.16 to 284.02) m 2, Poka Yoke to avoid reprocessing in the drilling area, 5S to generate a harmonious work environment and Plant Distribution to reduce the cost of glass transportation, which goes from $0.60 to $0.48.
