Dirección de Posgrado, 2017-03) Oña Arcentales, Edgar Ramiro; Mera Constante, Medardo AlfonsoThe research work was developed to study the students’ thinking skills in the classrooms methodological activities of the sixth years of the “Mariscal Antonio José de Sucre ” basic general education level of Saquisilí city, Cotopaxi province, through the planted objectives that gave direction to the investigation, in order to determine the incidence of the thinking skills in the sixth years and this general objective was operationalized through the specific objectives which made it possible to determine the students’ thinking skills level and allowed the development of the methodological activities that help to improve the interlearning and build a creative, critical and autonomous environment in different areas, at the same time the solution proposal was addressed to the development of the thinking skills with a methodology which organized the mental development correctly and emphasized in the necessity of strengthen the thinking skills, with important results in the education of boys and girls, emphasizes the importance of carry out activities that involved the observation, description, comparison, classification, analysis and synthesis, for relating the new information with the one that you know and thus reach a meaningful learning; the teacher in his educational task is the responsible of promoting these activities that sustain and reaffirm the knowledge, it is important to say that the classroom is the place where the exploratory process is developed and the students will be able to produce their own thinkings and ideas, with this highlights the primary function of teaching to think our students with a reflexive, critical criterion against the new information and incorporate it into the cognitive as well as meaningful and functional structure, it is emphasized that if those involved in this process do it methodically, they will achieve optimize the learning wich will serve to practice in the daily life.
