    La metacognición y la comprensión lectora de los estudiantes en el Área de Lengua y Literatura de la Unidad Educativa Teresa Flor.

    The study titled metacognition and reading comprehension of students in the area of Language and Literature of the Educational Unit Teresa Flor, seeks to relate the incidence between these two variables for the improvement of the acquisition of knowledge, the necessary reasoning about knowledge to discover and that have to do with the reality of life. To do this, we considered the current way of evaluating students and how this influences the process of meaningful learning. It is proposed that teachers take ownership of different written media and instruments for evaluation, students interested in new forms of meaningful learning and evaluation that challenge them in their creativity and abilities will be able to approach them by focusing on collaboration and interaction. The authorities of the institution will adapt the pedagogical, technological and administrative resources to implement these instruments for the reading processes. Teachers, beyond their disciplinary competences, will accompany the learning process of the students, with the application of new evaluation and follow-up tools, for a correct feedback, improvement of the knowledge, habits, ordering of ideas, ease of comprehension and reasoning and improve the feedback of contents and knowledge.

    From the different areas of the pedagogical activity, the teaching competencies are the actions, attitude, and commitment that all professionals must assume in their educational work. These premises allow the teacher to leave the proposed scheme, break barriers, address new challenges, and expand their skills thus provoking personal development and growth so that all students learn to develop successfully in the different areas of life, contributing to a more prosperous and integral society. The aim of the use of the techniques and assessment instruments is to provide the learning process with a reference that examines the academic conditions of the students and responds to this process with preventive or corrective actions that promote the evaluation and joint efforts to raise the levels of quality in the educational service; this is a complex task in which the educational policies and the institutional improvement plans impact the different areas that are part of the scholar system. For that reason, the role of the teacher is an important factor in the teaching process because through the correct use of the techniques and assessment instruments they can organize and create effective environments of teaching, develop attitudes and values, and educate the students in an integral way. Finally, the objective of this investigation is to present a description of the characteristics, purpose, and applications of the competencies, techniques, and assessment instruments that can used in the different levels and educational needs so that the results of all those who are part of the educational process are effective.

    Evaluación de la Planificación Curricular Institucional PCI de la asignatura de ciencias naturales para niños con discapacidad intelectual de los niveles de preparatoria elemental y media.

    Studies in the area of natural science allow connecting theory and practice as a process necessary for the acquisition, consolidation and development of new contents and assumptions as well ask kowledge and skills in students with mental disability. In the field of special education using methodological techniques and strategies is inevitable in order to strenghten and link the teaching- learning- process and allow the complete formation of students able to solve problems of the daily life and to take decisions for themselves. The general objective of the investigation was: Determining the evaluation of curricular institutional plannings in the subject of natural science for children with mental disability, levels of preparation, basis anf standard. The scientific method was applied for the realization of this investigation thus allowing to organize, analyze and interprete on the one hand the data obtained by the registers of thorough observation of the students’ actions, on the other hand the information received by careful interrogation of the teachers. Among the most relevant results was determined that the teachers should prepare plannings concurrent with the needs of special education in order to satisfy the needs of the students and thus contributing to the improvement of their quality of life. Finally, as part of this investigation, was prepared a “GUIDE FOR THE xvii INSTALLATION OF A SCHEDULE OF NATURAL SCIENCE FOR STUDENTS WITH MENTAL DISABILITY,” which will serve as an instruction of the steps necessary to install the schedule of natural science and the application of the before mentioned in classes thus supporting the development of cognitive and significant functional to improve the development and profile of students.

    El ciclo de aprendizaje de Kolb como estrategia para el desarrollo del proceso de lecto escritura de las personas con escolaridad inconclusa de la Unidad Educativa P.C.E.I Juan León Mera

    In the Juan León Mera PCEI Educational Unit, the poor use of the Kolb learning cycle has been detected as a problem in the development of the Reading-writing process for Persons with Unfinished Schooling (PCEI), in this research work developed an intervention in the teaching-learning process, where practical workshops were applied based on the Kolb cycle, methodology used from its four phases: Concrete Experience; Reflexive Observation, Abstract Conceptualization, Active Experimentation. This intervention required a before and after in the level of development of the process of reading and writing. The data obtained in this research reveal a greater ability of students to read and write correctly, contributing to improve the processes of comprehension, comparison, analysis, synthesis and codification of written messages, their identification, selection of main ideas, secondary and interpretation of the analyzed texts of interest of the students improving their capacities since, when relating the learnings initiated in an experience and the application of these allow to consolidate the learning of reading and writing of the students, being of vital importance for their future professional performance.

    El desarrollo profesional docente y la inclusión educativa en los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Ambato en el período académico 2016-2017

    The present article in its first section is a literature review of the policies, studies and legal regulations implemented by the country's central education agency to ensure an inclusive, equitable and quality education, which promotes learning opportunities for all. And in a second contribution it aims to analyze the processes of professional teacher development and their influence in the incorporation of an inclusive culture of the Educational Unit "Ambato", an educational institution emblematic of the province of Tungurahua that welcomes students from different areas urban and rural, where students with special educational needs have been identified, associated or not with a disability. Reason why the research has the purpose of clarifying the influence of these elements in the learning process of the students, for the effect was taken as a reference the quality standards of the country that incorporates these two resignations within its elements of evaluation, finally the results are discussed and some conclusions and recommendations are made by way of reflection.

    El modelo educativo de la Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo en la generación de Bioconocimiento en el marco del Buen Vivir

    National University of Chimborazo is a public higher education, accredited by the Ecuadorian Council of Evaluation, Accreditation and Quality Assurance. It is twenty three years of autonomous existence. This study determine if the UNACH educational model influences bio knowledge on the period complained through january 2015 and may 2017. The theory of this study is based on contemporary concepts; it uses a mixed research focus, including qualitative and quantitative analysis. Furthermore, it documents and organizes oficial institutional information. The first phase is to generate criterial format for determining the amount xvii of scientific production that can be considered as bio-knowledge. The second phase considers this statistical study and analyzes the influence of the University education model on its scientific publications, from their non numerical qualities. Finally, the verification of the hypothesis shows that the variables are not independent, they are related with each other. From the statistical analysis, it was possible to conclude that the education model does not influence directly on the knowledge production of the University and the generation of bio-knowledge. Based on conclusions, this research presents recommendations, on a consultancy level in order to implement education management, education evaluation and curricular design actions at the National University of Chimborazo.     La lectura sináptica y la comprensión lectora de los/las estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa San Pío X

    The following research studies the impact of the Synaptic Reading on the Comprehension Reading of the Sixth Year students from ''San Pío X'' school. Based on the researching background and the art study, the test '' The Little Prince'' is chosen as the most suitable one for the Sixth Year students. The pre-test (''The Little Prince'' applied test before the Synaptic Reading and Comprehension Reading training) was applied to Sixth Year A and Sixth Year B, concluding that Sixth Year B students were those with significant difficulties. In Sixth Year ''B'' particularly, there are 26 children that show Synaptic and Comprehension Reading weaknesses, that's why 10 types of reading training workshops were applied to this group of students. Those ones were selected by the researcher considering a decision matrix. Subsequently, the test '' The Little Prince'' is chosen from the 10 different types of applied tests and it's applied once more to the students, calling it in researching terms as the ''post test''. The result was better this time and the number of students who made mistakes while taking ''The Little Prince'' test, reduced to 4. For these students a feedback project through a note for reinforcement classes was required having the permission of authorities and parents to let children attend from 13:20 pm to 14:00 pm during two days. It's important to consider that the teaching material was socialized with the school Language teachers.

    El perfil actitudinal del docente y su influencia en el ambiente laboral

    The present investigation has as objective to determine the attitudinal profile of the teacher and his influence in the labor environment, knowing that these factors are fundamental in the development of the institution, because they directly affect the personal development, allowing to create different types of environments that generate nexuses of companionship, the investigation is based on authors such as: Orejuela, Espinosa and Mora who talk about the influential factors in the work environment, in addition to another author such as Mullo who talks about the importance of the professional profile. In the Institution to investigate the deterioration of the affective value among teachers, conflicts that generate a toxic environment, as well as, the limited assertive communication between its members which leads to a weak work environment. The methodology used includes the technique of the survey for data collection, statistically checking through the Chi-square method the influence of the Attitudinal Profile in the Work Environment, since a large part of the teachers state that misinformation leads to a lack of assertive communication between teachers generating limited application of moral values. After this a guide of strategies was created to improve the attitudinal profile of the teachers, it contains strategies to instruct them. These strategies will contribute as a support within the institution, because there was no guide to support the problem currently investigated.     El desarrollo comportamental en el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiante de la Unidad Educativa Huachi Grande

    Relevant aspects have been developed such as analyzing the incidence of behavioral development in the learning process at the higher level of the "Huachi Grande" Educational Unit, Canton Ambato, Tungurahua province, to achieve this goal the behavior has been considered as starting point. It is known that the group of students present inappropriate behaviors during the development of teachinglearning, it was felt necessary to implement a Guide of behavioral management strategies in the classroom, which is beneficial to the students and thus improve their academic performance, with techniques based on the management of behavior at the level of higher basic education, which has 120 male and female students who are between 12-15 years of age, in order to improve the levels of behaviour, which tend to suffer from different factors such as: disorganized homes, influence of social environment, among others. The same that can lead to suffer inappropriate behaviour in the classroom causing low performance in their studies and aggressiveness among peers. In the Methodology, it has a quantitative and qualitative research approach, it is also susceptible to description and analysis, since it has an exploratory, descriptive, field and bibliographic level. On the other hand, the technique of the survey with the instrument of the questionnaire has been evaluated and compared to the students after the application. Data obtained from the surveys applied to the students were analyzed by the Chi-Square test to check the hypothesis, which allowed to verify the same and to determine the current situation of the problem. Finally, it is proposed a Guide to behavioral management strategies in the classroom, aimed at teachers of the Huachi Grande Educational Unit.

    El proceso de evaluación en el desarrollo del razonamiento verbal en el área de lengua y literatura de los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa Baeza.

    The purpose of this research work is to determine how the evaluation process influences the development of verbal reasoning in the Language and Literature Area of the Baccalaureate students of Unidad Educativa “Baeza” in the academic year 2015-2016. Through tests, surveys and interviews applied to teachers and students, actors of the teaching-learning process, and analyzed the results of the evaluation "Ser bachiller 2016" taken by the Instituto Nacional de Evaluación Educativa (INEVAL), applied to the students of the third year of high school before obtaining the bachelor's degree and to acquire a quota in the governmental universities of Ecuador; The thematic groups of this examination considered in the research are those related to Language and Literature. The research is based on the constructivist paradigm with a quantitative approach, considering that the results of field research based on surveys and interviews are subjected to numerical analysis with the support of statistics; In addition, a qualitative approach is used through the hypothesis verification statistic denominated “Spearman Coefficient of Rank Correlation” to relate investigated variables. It is concluded that the evaluation process has a weak influence on the development of verbal reasoning for high school students, although they have a satisfactory average on the Senescyt tests, but most of the students went to institutions that were extra of their formal education to give such evaluation. It was also found that teachers apply common evaluation techniques and instruments, the same ones that in a few cases help to develop verbal reasoning of their students, so a proposal for a solution to this problem is proposed through a guide for the process of Evaluation for the development of verbal reasoning.
