Mg.The current study has been carried out with the aim to define a therapeutic exercise program based on music therapy for elders who present balance problems. The intervention was planned for 56 elders belonging to Picaihua Tungurahua, with an age above 60 years. From this group, 41 patients were female and the remaining 15 were male. The intervention used different exercise characteristics based on music therapy. The duration was 28 sessions, 3 times per week measured between 40 to 45 minutes each. The ability to maintain motor coordination, static and dynamic balance at the start and end of the intervention was evaluated through the application of two tests that facilitated the interpretation of the results. After the re-evaluation of the participants, it was established that the level of initial deterioration went from high risk of falls to medium risk of falls at the end. The implementation of exercises based on music therapy represents remarkable progress on balance, which symbolizes a lower risk of falls.
