    Evaluación del efecto insecticida de tres especies vegetales para el control de piojos en cobayos (cavia porcellus) mediante pruebas in vitro

    In this research, the insecticidal effect of three plant species was evaluated for the control of lice in guinea pigs (cavia porcellus) using in vitro tests. We worked with different doses which were 2ml and 0.2ml. The treatments were T0 (control group based on 96% ethanol), T1 (ambient control group), T2 (2ml frame), T3 (0.2ml frame), T4 (2ml pussy), T5 (0.2ml pussy) , T6(rue 2ml), T7(rue 0.2ml). The extract was placed through spraying. 5 repetitions were carried out with each plant, each with 10 experimental units, in total 400 lice were occupied, which were placed in different Petri dishes. Meanwhile, the parasites were observed through the evos microscope every 10 minutes for two hours. At the conclusion of the research, the result was that the frame at a dose of 2ml achieved a mortality of 100% in 80 minutes, the chocho obtained a reduction of 76% and the rue demonstrated an effect of 46% both in 120 minutes. However, with the 0.2ml dose the chocho managed to eliminate 64%, surpassing the rue with a 2ml dose. Therefore, it is recommended to use these plant extracts, since they are friendly to the environment, and are an alternative to the use of drugs found on the market.
