ABSTRACT The present research study focuses on physical risk and aims to guide the employer in making decisions on short, medium and long term preventive measures and to identify jobs within the productive process with the greatest exposure to physical risk factors. The main objective is to assess physical risk factors, generating safe working environments. The project was developed according to national and international quantitative methodologies, the primary source of main information was attained by identifying workstations and evaluating physical risk factors, as well as conducting a worker’s survey so as to gauge the perception of each worker in relation to physical risks in their job environment. Likewise, physical risk factor measurements were undertaken to analyze and evaluate exposure levels which helped determine control measures, all validated with calibration certificates of all equipment used. Lastly, from the results obtained a prevention program was proposed, which allows the control of intolerable physical risk factors, according to a control hierarchy: source, transmission medium and worker.
