    The lack of adequate and efficient solutions for the treatment and final disposal of hazardous and special waste generated in the retreading industry enhances the increase in risk and possible contamination of the environment. For this reason, the objective of the research is to design an Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001:2015standar for the company CauchoSierra S.A. The study consists of a field investigation since its purpose is to carry out a diagnosis of the initial situation of the company regarding compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. In addition, through the UNE 150008:2008 standard, the identification and evaluation of environmental risk was carried out, with the intention of determining the most critical risk. The results obtained once the checklist has been applied determine that there is 39% compliance with the requirements established in the ISO 14001:2015 standard. Likewise, through the evaluation of environmental risks, it is established that the risk related to the contamination of water and soil due to the generation of hazardous and special waste presents a high risk in the three evaluations environments. Finally, it is concluded that through the implementation of the Environmental Management System, the company reduces the generation of hazardous and special waste between 20 and 25 % in a period of one year.
