    Plan de emergencia en el cuartel principal del Cuerpo de Bomberos del cantón Salcedo

    The lack of detection of dangerous areas due to risk factors and the absence of procedures and protocols for action and response to emergencies result in a lack of safety for personnel in case of adverse events. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to prepare an emergency plan in the Fire Department of Salcedo Canton. The report is based on an analysis: of the facilities, the company's personnel, and the preparation of the emergency plan for the institution, which includes the following steps: First, the vulnerable areas were identified through the collection of data through the identification and observation sheets of the equipment, raw materials and materials used in each department that cause a certain susceptibility to fire in each area; Second, an assessment of the risk of fire is carried out through the methods of GRETENER and MESERI of each area to establish o establish the level of vulnerability to fire in the institution and create protocols for intervention and action when an emergency occurs, the results obtained from the application of these methods indicate that the facilities of the main station of the Salcedo canton fire brigade have a very slight or unlikely level of fire risk, and it is advisable to maintain a monthly maintenance plan for firefighting equipment in order to maintain the institution with the current level of protection. Finally, the emergency plan is developed, outlining protocols for action in the face of various major risks. A drill is also carried out to observe the ability of personnel during an emergency and check the response time of the emergency brigades of the Fire Department.
