Item Análisis crítico y jurídico sobre la eutanasia: caso Martha Sepúlveda(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Derecho, 2024-02) Acurio Musso, Kevin Geovanny; Tite, Segundo RamiroThe importance of the research topic lies in the fact that euthanasia has been gaining popularity in several countries around the world, and the need for the right to access a dignified death to be guaranteed by states is increasingly something that It cannot be ignored and, on the contrary, it is a demand made by the general population. Likewise, new generations consider that it is not only important to guarantee a dignified life, but also a dignified death. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to critically and legally analyze euthanasia taking into consideration the Martha Sepúlveda case. To develop that objective, it is necessary to adopt the exploratory, descriptive and analytical type of research, applying the qualitative method with which relevant aspects of the case study are highlighted, as well as applying the bibliographic technique through which written information such as books will be collected, scientific articles, research projects, jurisprudence and, in general, any type of written information that is related to the central topic that, as is known, is part of secondary sources because it is information prepared by third parties. In this way, the main conclusion has been determined that euthanasia is a right that is closely related to human dignity and that this must be guaranteed by the state under certain circumstances, for example, when it has had a negative impact on the life of the person preventing them from having a dignified life
