Item Desarrollo de aplicación web para la automatización de la fiscalización y subida de información de las redes de distribución al sistema de información geográfica de la Empresa Eléctrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Software, 2023-09) Supe Silva, Ricardo Esteban; Chicaiza Castillo, Dennis VinicioThis project was born with the need to automate the review process of the "Hojas de Estacamiento" received by the Planning Department of Empresa Electrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A., the review of these sheets is a process that takes approximately thirty minutes and for each error found added more time in its review. First, in the requirements gathering for the development of the system, surveys and interviews were conducted with EEASA staff in order to obtain technical and functional requirements that would allow the understanding of the processes they manage and use them in favor of the automation and development of the system. For the storage of digital files, we opted for BLOB data types because it gives greater advantage than using external storage. Secondly, agile methodologies were investigated to facilitate the development of the application, giving OOHDM as the best option, during its early stages of development allows to generate a code base from its diagrams. On the one hand, it speeds up the development of the application, on the other hand, it takes time to diagram, define its navigational context and create abstract views, but in the end, it is time invested for the benefit of the development stage of the methodology. Finally, as technological tools. Spring Boot and Oracle were used as a requirement requested by the head of the PD. Also. Angular was selected as the best Front-End framework in a comparison with other tools. These documents are managed manually at the bottom of losing reports and difficulties in accessing them. This research aimed to propose the implementation of a medical records and telemedicine management system for the "GAD Municipalidad de Ambato". In this part. questionnaires and interviewing were employed as data collection methods to determine the institution's issues as they arose. In the same way, the fundamental requirements for the development of the system were collected. Rapid Application Development (RAD), a methodology that promotes quick and client-focused development through features like ongoing client feedback and prototyping, was employed in the development process. For the software development procedure. Oracle was the database manager. Apex Oracle for the web application, and Flutter for the mobile application. The TAM model played a fundamental role since it demonstrated that 87% of the participants were satisfied with the usability characteristics and ease of use of the system. In addition, the T Student Test evidenced that the time spent creating medical records was reduced considerably by 33% of using the current system. Additionally, online services were employed to integrate online and mobile applications, enabling the system to exchange data in real-time. The continuous technological advancements and competition compel the industry to adapt more effectively to these changes. In the context of staying at the forefront of technology, the credit and savings cooperative "Credi Facil" found the need to offer its products and/or services digitally. In response to this scenario, surveys were conducted in May, involving 360 individuals, including customers and employees of the cooperative. The results revealed that 85.5% of the respondents were willing to use the online credit application system. For project management, the hypermedia-oriented object-oriented design method (OOHDM) was employed, enabling object-oriented modeling, use case diagrams, navigational contexts, and abstract views. This approach was supported by technologies such as Go and the Angular Framework, implementing MVC and multi-tier architectures, respectively. Additionally, specialized facial biometrics web services were utilized to implement an identity validation mechanism for customers, significantly reducing the risk of identity theft and fraud. Ultimately, the software was successfully implemented, and the TAM model was applied, resulting in 76.25% of users expressing satisfaction with the online credit application system. Within the framework of the health emergency, the tourism sector in Galapagos found itself in need of offering its products and/or services in an innovative way, which is why surveys were applied in March to 267 tourist servers and 383 tourists. subscribed to the Galapagos Ocean Safaris S.A.S. agency, obtaining that 34% of servers mentioned the importance of promoting tourism through virtual reality technology and 41% considered that implementing a mobile application would help promote their products and/or services, while, 0.7% of tourists mentioned the lack of information through mobile applications and 37.24% considered that an application would improve their tourist experience during their stay on the island. In this context. this project emphasizes the development of a multiplatform mobile application with virtual reality technology, to promote experiential tourism on Santa Cruz Island. Likewise, to give continuity in the agile management of the project. a hybrid methodology between XP and Mobile-D was used, which facilitated its development, relying on the use of technologies such as Flutter and Unity together with their programming languages Dart and C# respectively. The purpose of this research was to implement a centralized application for managing and attending to turns in the company's branches. In this context, data collection techniques such as interviews and surveys were used to identify the needs and requirements for project development. The RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodology was employed to achieve constant client feedback. SQL Server was used as the database management system, and React JS was employed for the application development. The TAM and UTAUT models were utilized to assess the acceptance and adoption of the application. This proposal optimized the generation, allocation, and handling of turns, while also enhancing the reporting process, providing the company with comprehensive information. However, they face challenges in information management and lack a means to share information with the finance department, responsible for receiving payments, for visualization and verification. This poses a problem when completing the process of delivering products and services. The current project proposes the implementation of a web application to establish an online process for acquiring and processing payments for services and products. This allows users to attach and verify information related to their respective processes. Additionally, the project aims to expedite the registration and validation of data through optical character recognition (OCR) and image processing. The current project proposes the implementation of a web application to establish an The web application is divided into two main components: backend and frontend. In the backend, Python with FastAPI is used to develop the Application Programming Interface (API), integrating OCR with Pytesseract and OpenCV. Additionally, PostgreSQL is employed as the database, and MinIO is used for managing images and files. In the frontend, React and additional libraries are utilized. An adequate level of knowledge allows one to understand the environment, make informed decisions, solve everyday problems and continuously improve. In the workplace, having trained personnel aware of their responsibilities is essential to achieve efficiency and productivity, which leads to greater competitiveness and business success. At Empresa El´ectrica Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A. (EEASA), inefficient training and evaluation processes were identified due to the lack of an adequate technological solution. To address this situation, an initial observation of the training and evaluation process was carried out, followed by a survey of 199 employees and an interview with the head of the IT area. The results showed that 82.4% of those surveyed agreed to reinforce their knowledge and be evaluated through an online platform as part of the process. In this sense, the project focused on developing and implementing a web application to evaluate and strengthen the technical knowledge of EEASA employees. The AUP methodology was obtained to manage the project in an agile way, facilitating the process in each phase of the application’s life cycle. After the implementation, usability tests and surveys were carried out to evaluate its impact. This manual manipulation of information makes the process tedious and inefficient, consuming valuable time resources of the company's collaborators. The purpose of this research project was to propose the implementation of a web application to replace this manual process. Data collection techniques, such as interviews, were applied to identify issues and collect the specific needs of the client regarding this internal process. The chosen agile software development methodology was Extreme Programming, facilitating constant communication and feedback with the client and ensuring efficient software development based on frequent value delivery. The web application was developed using the JHipster framework, enabling the creation of monolithic applications with the latest trending technologies. In this case, React was integrated with Spring Boot using Kotlin language in a containerized application for scalability. To ensure the proper functioning of the web application, integration tests were implemented. Angular was used in the frontend, providing a dynamic and intuitive interface, while the backend was implemented with Node.js for fast and efficient executions. State-of-the-art technologies, such as Wave Grandstream, were incorporated to improve the quality of voice calls. In terms of database, MongoDB was chosen, offering flexibility and scalability to manage large volumes of data. Regarding the development methodology, the XP methodology was adopted, which stands out for its agile approach. This allowed a flexible adaptation to change in the project requirements and a continuous delivery of functionalities. The system consists of several modules designed to optimize management and communication with partners. The Debt Collection Module facilitates the efficient management of outstanding payments with clear visualizations and analytical tools. The Mailing Module automates birthday greetings and tracks detailed mailings. The Forms Module enables the creation and management of customized surveys, while the Campaigns Module facilitates the planning and execution of campaigns, leveraging database information. In the dentistry field, the effective management of medical records is crucial to ensure quality care that generates patient satisfaction. The main objective of the project is to implement a web application for managing dental records with a digital geometric odontogram at the Saúde Medical Group clinic in the Pelileo canton. The key aspects of the project center around the control of medical records, standardizing the odontogram, and the digitalization of the budget, as well its sending and reception. Techniques such as: interview, survey and observation sheet have been applied to identify the drawbacks and requirements of the system. A hybrid methodology that merges RAD and Kanban practices is adopted for the development of the application. This combination has facilitated rapid construction, constant feedback with the final user, efficient flow management and task prioritization; supported by technologies for instance the fullstack framework Laravel and the MariaDB database. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has reflected that end users are satisfied in terms of the usability and ease of use offered by the web application. This method presents several problems, such as the loss of documents, significant delays and difficulties in accessing the information necessary to carry out this process. The main purpose of this research has been to propose a system that can manage the academic portfolio in order to simplify this procedure for the secretaries, who have been performing this task manually for years. In this context, data collection techniques, such as interviews and surveys, were used to identify the problems and possible solutions that can be applied to the identified process. Similarly, the proposed surveys helped to gather the requirements that will be the pillars on which this system will be implemented. In the development process, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology was used, which focuses on rapid development, giving more emphasis to the development tasks than to the planning itself. It focuses on developing software in a short time through iterative prototypes that are reviewed and refined in collaboration with end users. This report focuses on the implementation of a comprehensive management system at the "Fray Bartolomé de las Casas" institution. To achieve this objective, an investigation of administrative, educational, and informational processes was conducted through interviews and surveys. This analysis revealed 11 processes that required intervention. The resolution of these processes was achieved through a analysis of requirements and functionalities, opting for the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach supported by Angular and the VS Code IDE. This approach allowed flexibility in incorporating prototypes, agile changes, and efficient reuse of code and components. Angular stood out for its reusability and adaptability to changes, while VS Code, with its extensive extensions, provided effective guidance for development, facilitating quick error correction. The implementation of security policies was prioritized to strengthen the robustness of the developing software, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of information. The result was software with 100% acceptance, highlighting its user-friendliness and utility. This implementation represents a significant step towards the modernization and strengthening of educational and administrative processes in the institution. The purpose of this research was to develop a web-based system in the Transportation area of EEASA to minimize time and money losses. Qualitative and quantitative techniques, such as interviews, surveys, literature review, and systems design methodology, were employed to gather information and propose solutions to the challenges. The Lean Software Development methodology was used to ensure timely delivery and effective implementation, this research, conducted by the Department of Industrial Relations at EEASA, highlighted the importance of technological solutions, such as image processing and character recognition using OCR. The results obtained indicated that the implementation of the management system reduced fuel supply time and vehicle maintenance by 75% and 55.55%, respectively, leading to a cost reduction of 75% and 55.55% for these activities, respectively. Additionally, the system improved the accuracy and reliability of fuel supply and vehicle maintenance records, contributing to enhanced efficiency and process transparency within the company, this scientific contribution underscored the significance of technological solutions in the transportation sector and presented an innovative approach to improving profitability and sustainability in transport companies.Item Sistema multiplataforma de código abierto para resolución de problemas de programación lineal utilizando el framework flutter(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Software, 2024-02) López García, Luis Steeven; Guachimbosa Villalba, Victor HugoIn the present work, the implementation of an open-source multiplatform application for solving Linear Programming problems of Operations Research using the Flutter framework is addressed. Several specialized applications for linear programming have been developed. Of these, PhpSimplex, OpenSolver, and Tora stand out for their usefulness, for students and professionals. Some of these programs may, on one hand, present compatibility problems with modern operating systems. Moreover, they may lack an offline mode, limiting their accessibility and usefulness when connectivity is not guaranteed. Likewise, the dependence on paid software packages is a barrier for users. First, analysis of bibliographic material, referring to the graphic, algebraic, and simplex algorithms has been carried out, thus, their applicability in different scenarios is tried. Second, the effectiveness and versatility of the Flutter framework in the development of multiplatform applications has been highlighted, taking advantage of its high performance and rapid development cycle, to generate consistent user interfaces. Furthermore, the Kanban methodology has been successfully implemented and has allowed an efficient management of the project. The purpose of this research project was to propose the implementation of a mobile application for the adoption of rescued pets. In this context, data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews were used to identify the problems of the shelter in this process and also to gather the requirements for the development of the application. The growing awareness of animal welfare and the need to facilitate efficient adoption processes highlights the importance of this initiative. The methodology applied is based on the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, taking advantage of the flexibility and speed offered by this method to adapt to the changing needs of the project. The use of the Firebase platform as a database provides a secure and scalable structure to manage information related to pets and adopters. The main line of research is framed within Software Development, with an emphasis on creating practical and efficient solutions to concrete problems. Carrera de Software, 2024-02) Cuesta Tabares, Christian Roberto; Jara Moya, Santiago DavidThis research project sought to create a 3D video game using the Unity graphics engine to help students of the Software Engineering career of the Faculty of Computer, Electronics and Industrial Engineering of the Universidad Técnica de Ambato in the foundations of programming. The initiative focused on the problem of limited access to programming education among Ecuadorian primary and secondary school students, which causes a lack of knowledge as a basis for university entry, as well as the lack of quantitative and qualitative data on the video game development market in the country. The effectiveness of the game-based learning approach compared to conventional teaching methods was evaluated. The theoretical foundation examined educational video games, design principles and gameplay components, emphasizing their active and participatory character, their ability to adapt to the student's skill level, and their potential to offer immersive 3D experiences. Through pilot tests were evaluated the effectiveness, feasibility and usability of educational video games, these evaluations resulted in an acceptance of more than 80%. In conclusion, creating a 3D educational video game with Unity has great potential for improving student learning. Gamification techniques and social media integration further increase student participation. The resolution of these processes was achieved through a analysis of requirements and functionalities, opting for the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach supported by Angular and the VS Code IDE. This approach allowed flexibility in incorporating prototypes, agile changes, and efficient reuse of code and components. Angular stood out for its reusability and adaptability to changes, while VS Code, with its extensive extensions, provided effective guidance for development, facilitating quick error correction. The implementation of security policies was prioritized to strengthen the robustness of the developing software, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of information. The result was software with 100% acceptance, highlighting its user-friendliness and utility. This implementation represents a significant step towards the modernization and strengthening of educational and administrative processes in the institution. Overall, this project not only addresses the current needs of the institution but also lays the foundation for more appropriate and adaptive management in the future.
