Item Estudio de los niveles de radiación electromagnética en la Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2024-08) Valverde Sánchez, Edwin David; Cuji Rodríguez, Julio EnriqueThe development of technology, together with the constant increase in energy consumption, generates the need to evaluate and storage of this energy from the environment. There is not much research on how to capture and efficiently use this energy. To measure the non-ionizing radiation in the FISEI campus, recurrent and sporadic nodes were determined in which a measurement of the immission electric field was taken in a wide band between 50 MHz and 3.5 GHz during 6 minutes in the morning, half day and afternoon during a period of 4 weeks using PCE EM 29 instruments. Finally, the data is transferred to ArcGIS to create a radiation diagram using the kernel interpolation method. Nodes with high electric field level were identified in Agora (0.665 V/m), Hall E (0.568 V/m), Garden 1 (0.427 V/m) and Car Park (0.389 V/m). The radiation diagrams show that the areas near the Access Points exhibit elevated levels of electromagnetic radiation. However, these levels do not exceed safe limits according to ARCOTEL regulations. Energy harvesting tests show that areas with higher radiation generate significant voltage gains (0.307 V), demonstrating higher energy harvesting efficiency compared to areas with lower radiation.
