    Diseño de un plan de conservación de la estructura de la capa de rodadura de la vía Pelileo - Cotaló abs 12+000 – 16+000 de la provincia de Tungurahua

    Riobamba city has various alternative routes for access, one of which is the Pelileo - Cotaló road. This road has shown deterioration in its pavement structure, raising the need for developing an appropriate conservation plan to maintain it in optimal conditions and ensure its functionality. An exhaustive topographic survey of the Pelileo - Cotaló road was carried out, providing detailed information about its physical characteristics. Additionally, vulnerable areas of the road were identified through this survey, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent development of the conservation plan. Furthermore, a comprehensive traffic study was conducted on the road, based on the Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT). This analysis allowed for understanding the vehicular flow and vehicle characteristics, and the PCI was performed. These data were fundamental in comprehending pavement wear and deterioration, as well as identifying specific maintenance needs. As a result of this work, a specific maintenance plan was proposed to address the road's deterioration. The plan relied on the data obtained from the topographic survey and traffic study. Proposed actions included crack sealing, pothole repair, and periodic maintenance. These interventions have proven effective in improving the road's condition to ensure its durability and safety.

    Evaluación del tráfico vehicular para dar solución al congestionamiento en intersección Camino el Rey y Miñarica de la ciudad de Ambato provincia de Tungurahua

    The purpose of this work is the evaluation of vehicular traffic, with a manual vehicle count of twelve hours for seven days. The current analysis was carried out in four stations identified at the intersection and the vehicle capacity at each station was taken into account, taking into account the directions of movement. Once the data had been collected, the following information was obtained: the current Annual Average Daily Traffic, vehicle flows and their distribution at the intersection, which reflects the behavior of the intersection in the study. This information allows you to establish peak hours and vehicle demand. The future TPDA, the traffic characteristics of the vehicle and the traffic capacity of the crossing were determined to obtain the level of service. The traffic behavior began with the analysis of the flow of vehicles. Depending on the flow, density and speed. Finally, we develop linear mathematical models to characterize the traffic and obtain the appropriate solution. Through Thematic Maps it shows the degree of noise pollution registered around the intersection under investigation.

    Evaluación del tráfico vehicular para dar solución al congestionamiento en la intersección entre la Av. Rodrigo Pachano y Manuelita Sáenz de la ciudad de Ambato

    The analysis of the study region to set up the counting station and the noise pollution analysis points was elaborated in the present experimental project, from this way the vehicle gauging stations were separated in 15 minutes periods, and later identify the peak hours, the maximum volume hourly, the Average Daily Annual Traffic (TPDA) currently classified, and the future traffic in 20 years. From the registered speed the levels of service, the density and the capacity at intersection were settled down, also mathematic lineal models were elaborated to identify the vehicular traffic characteristics. After the analyzed data, other factors like road signs and traffic light phases were evaluated. With the obtained results from this investigation, there are detailed recommendations to improve the vehicular traffic and evaluate the acoustic pollution level, with the purpose of improve the intersection road service levels and then give more safety to the pedestrians who transit in that road.

    The objective of this project is to evaluate vehicular traffic at the intersection of Gómez de la Cerna and García Lorca by means of a manual vehicle count for twelve hours over a period of seven days. The analysis was carried out in four stations identified at the intersection and in each of them the vehicle capacity was carried out taking into account the directions of movement. Once the data was collected, it was obtained: the current Annual Average Daily Traffic, vehicle flows and their distribution at the intersection, reflecting the behavior of the Intersection under study, this information allows establishing peak hours and vehicle demand. The future TPDA, the characteristics of vehicular traffic and the traffic capacity at the intersection were determined to obtain the level of service. Traffic behavior starts from the analysis of vehicular flow, which will be a function of flow, density and speed. Finally, the vehicle flow models are presented as a Linear Model according to B.D. Greenshields and Nonlinear Models such as Logarithmic and Exponential; they are going to present what the traffic behavior is like, and therefore obtain the appropriate solution. Thematic Maps represent the degree of noise pollution registered in the area surrounding the intersection under study.
