Item Riesgos laborales en la cadena de suministro agroalimentaria de la empresa Jambi Kiwa(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2025-02) Guamangate Casillas Anahi Estefania; Morales Perrazo Luis AlbertoIn agro-industrial activities, as in any other industry, occupational risks are present, potentially affecting the physical and mental health of workers. Therefore, the objective of this research was to characterize occupational risks in the agri-food supply chain of the company "Jambi Kiwa". The research employed a mixed qualitative-quantitative approach, combining bibliographic, documentary, and field research. Various data collection techniques were utilized, including interviews, surveys, and observation. Additionally, tools were applied to identify and estimate occupational risks, based on regulations such as Decreto Ejecutivo 255, Norma Técnica en Seguridad e Higiene del Trabajo, Acuerdo Ministerial 196 and the occupational risk estimation matrix of the Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo. The results reveal critical working conditions across all phases of the agri-food supply chain. Risks associated with mechanical, physical, chemical, ergonomic, psychosocial, and biological factors were identified. Mechanical (28.85%) and ergonomic (25.96%) risks were the most frequent. Most risks were classified as moderate (41.35%) and tolerable (39.42%), while significant risks (16.35%) were concentrated in the provisioning phase. These findings highlight the urgent need to implement specific preventive measures to improve working conditions, protect workers' health, and ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations in Ecuador.
