    Redistribución de planta en la empresa textil Creaciones Deportivas Andrés

    The present research analyzed the feasibility of an appropriate redistribution of the production plant to reduce the time and distance required to develop production batches. The stated objective was to reduce the travel distance between the work areas of the company Creaciones Deportivas Andrés according to the principle of minimum travel distance, based on three stages: First, information was collected, obtaining a total of 6 processes that require a time of 9308.01 s. and a distance of 25.39 m. to develop a batch of 10 garments. Second, using the Guerchet method, it was determined that the physical space of the material resources occupies 75.95%, and the remaining 24.05% is used for the flow of plant operators. Third, by removing unnecessary objects from the design area, the resources were appropriately relocated to carry out the cutting process on the ground floor in a logical sequence, resulting in a time of 8769.16 seconds and a total distance traveled of 21.70 meters. This achieved an efficiency of 17.11% in production capacity. In conclusion, it is determined that, through the correlation of processes by determining their proximity, the new plant layout optimizes the traveled distance by 3.69 meters, equivalent to an efficiency of 14.53%.

    In this research project, first of all, a general description of the company is made, continuing with the selection of the service with the best offer by means of an ABC analysis based on the production history of the production department; in addition, the state of the current situation of the production process is presented by means of work tools such as: process maps, work study diagrams and layour of the company that allow understanding the production flow and the areas susceptible to improvement. The methodology for the study of times and movements used starts with the selection of the case study, followed by the calculation of the number of observations based on the General Electric criteria, continuing with the evaluation of the work rhythm with the Westinghouse system and the allocation of supplements according to the International Labour Organisation (ILO), to conclude with the calculation of standard time. Subsequently, we proceed to calculate the production capacity in order to identify the bottleneck, which restricts the production flow, establishing the stone process as one of the main processes to be improved for stone services with 3 handicrafts. The improvement proposal as a first point contemplates determining the standard times that will facilitate production planning and as a second point the elaboration of a procedures manual with the aim of instructing the operators of the appropriate working method for the standardisation of their activities.

    he purpose of this research project is to carry out a study of times and movements in the production process of the Pico Tannery for the treatment of Wet Blue leather, with the objective of improving the organization's production process. The diagnosis of the current situation of the production process and of the various operational activities shows that there are processing times that can be optimized through the standardization of operations and the reduction of distances traveled by workers and material. The study of times and movements through cumulative timing is carried out in order to minimize and optimize the time of the activities for the treatment of skins in Pico Tannery. Finally, at a global level, through the development of the proposals proposed with the application of the SMED methodology, an approximate improvement of 8.76% in productivity levels is achieved, while by applying the second improvement proposal (SMED + Plant Redistribution) the production capacity increases by approximately 20.34%.

    Mejora de la productividad en la línea de producción de tela kiana de la empresa textil “M&B” aplicando tiempos y movimientos

    The production processes related to the manufacture of fabrics are closely linked to the use of machinery, labor, resources and inputs to produce the final product. However, the empirical way in which Textiles M&B has grown, has caused that there is no standard time of operations and much less documented procedures for operators to know how to perform their activities, causing unnecessary waiting, transportation and movements in the production line of Kiana fabric. The purpose of this research is to improve the productivity levels of Kiana fabric. The study includes the analysis of the stages of the production process, with respect to the evaluation of the work rhythm through the Westinghouse system, the assignment of supplements according to the criteria of the International Labor Organization, t he measurement or timing of the activities, to determine the standard time of the processes and based on that to apply improvements that allow to increase the production of Kiana fabric based on the elimination of unnecessary movements, transports and wait s in the production process. The results show that by applying the 5S and SMED methodologies, the production process is improved by 3.04%. The new work methods are embodied in a procedures manual to standardize operations. Finally, it is concluded that productivity levels increase by 44.62% with the proposals established to improve the production process.

    Estudio de tiempos y movimientos para el mejoramiento del proceso productivo en la empresa Balanvalle Cia. Ltda:

    The lack of times and movements standardization leads a company to raise production costs and raise the product value, to such an extent that it makes it impossible to compete in the market. This research work determined that the company Balanvalle Cia. Ltda., has three products derived from the balanced, the ABC analysis, determined that the highest demand product for 2019 to 2021, with an average of annual sales of $478,125, equivalent to 57.6%, was the complete bovine balanced bag of 40kg. The production line has 10 processes where each operator is responsible for sending the raw material and supplies to the mixing area to process and obtain the final product. Standard time, obtained from the current method was 2.67 minutes per bag. Bottleneck was focused on the honeydew process, the proposal to manage activities in parallel increased the production capacity by 3.99% per month. The cost-benefit analysis observed that, from the utility obtained from the 6 extra bags that are made with the proposed method, the return of investment is limited to the first quarter of work.

    The current Project encompasses investigation tittles related to the time and movements studies through working mediation. Its main objective is to know the current area of sanding and sealing area at CIAUTO CIA. LTDA., enterprise to assemble a WINGLE 7 pickup truck, so it could help the enterprise to detect time-out existence and bottleneck, which constitute the main area problem of sanding and sealing for the pickup truck assembly model before mentioned. Afterwards, it was realized a line balancing for which it started by identifying each situation which belongs to sanding and sealing area of the painting plant. It recognized five stations which are object of study in order to manage workforce and accomplish the daily production of fifteen units. To time mediation, it executed normal and standard time calculation of each one of the operators who work in the project study area with the purpose of identify which is the station that requires a task reassignment and achieve a workload balance. Since at the beginning of the project it was identified that the current workload didn’t have a balance. So, operators’ time in the same station varied a lot as it happened at sanding and sealing stations whose production capacity was fifteen and fourteen units respectively. However, by reassigning the activities among the two stations, it started to increase units’ production to sixteen units at sanding station and seventeen units at sealing station, so it could accomplish satisfactorily a daily production of fifteen units and adjust operators’ time the closest to Tack Time. Once obtained the current situation calculation and improvement proposal, FlexSim tool was used to evaluate and know the project study effectively. Finally, obtained results are presented along the development at the current investigation project.

    The main objective of this research is to develop a time and motion study for productivity improvement in post-harvest area in Rosas del Corazón-Finca Dos company through the collection of information for current situation of company analysis and the post-harvest operating processes in bouquets elaboration. The first stage corresponded mainly to the collection of company data; which was developed through techniques application such as observation, interview and critical analysis of the data collected; In turn, among the activities that were contemplated in this stage, there was the description of productive process and identification of the study elements. For the fulfillment of second stage, quantitative data were processed and analyzed through calculation tools. Consequently, parameters such as performance index, supplements, cycle time, standard time and production capacity were evaluated for each of the processes, identifying the bottleneck. Consequently, the packing process is the process that currently sets the pace of work with a theoretical production capacity of 6017 stems during the working day; and, the standard time to process a batch (300 stems) is 251.82 minutes The third stage focused on a proposal development based on recommendations of the International Labor Organization and the efficient use of posts and stations within the postharvest physical area, reducing times, movements and eliminating the bottleneck in the harvesting process. post-harvest, obtaining a new theoretical capacity of 7,224 stems without requiring a large investment. The results obtained were analyzed considering the current process and the improvement proposal proposed in this research project; Finally, the behavior and flow of process, its inputs and outputs were analyzed through the FlexSim software.

    This research project was carried out in ANDERSON JEAN'S company, specifically in the production area. Initially, an organization general description was made, with the purpose of evidencing production process and selecting the company’s main demanded service through the application of an ABC analysis. The main objective of this research is to propose tools to improve the company's production process in order to increase its productivity levels through the execution of a time and motion study to obtain a standard time for operations of production process and calculate productive capacity of current situation organization, in order to identify the stages or activities that can be improved. A relevant factor to define a process improvement is the reduction of waste found in the production line such as: waiting, unnecessary movements and over-processing; adopting 5S's, SMED and standardized work methodologies application. Finally, found results show a favorable scope for ANDERSON JEAN'S, since the cycle time of the process was reduced from 315.59 minutes to 291.32 minutes for a 70 garments batch, which was reflected in a 7.69% improvement in the entire production process for obtaining the BIG PANTS STON + SAN BLASS + MOTOR. In addition, when analyzing the two situations, it is clearly shown that the company improves its economic income by $939.55 per month, which represents an increase in the company's income of 6.27%.
