    Digital technology plays a relevant role in modernizing industrial processes by improving their organization and traceability. At Curtiduría Tungurahua S.A., a company dedicated to leather processing in Ambato, opportunities for modernization have been identified in tracking formulations during the leather dyeing process. Manual records are prone to loss and errors, leading to wasted time, resources, product quality issues, and additional costs from reprocessing production orders. This research project aims to align a mobile application focused on monitoring and controlling formulations in production orders, particularly in the dyeing process. The tool digitizes information records, enabling centralized and secure access, thus supporting traceability management in production. Using the MOBILE-D methodology, a flexible approach to project management was adopted. The mobile application was developed with the Flutter framework and the Dart programming language. For the backend, a Web Application Programming Interface (API) was created using Python with the minimalist Flask framework, allowing integration with web services and utilizing Oracle as the database, which was already in use by the company for managing other information systems. Acceptance tests were conducted during development to ensure the application’s functionality. The results demonstrate that the application enables organized monitoring and control of formulations in the production process. Its implementation supports error identification and allows for structured information management, contributing to the monitoring of operations related to production orders at Curtiduría Tungurahua.

    Aplicación móvil utilizando realidad aumentada para agilizar el tiempo del proceso de adopción de mascotas en la “Fundación Paquito”

    The animal shelter ”Fundación Paquito” is a non-profit organization that aims to provide care and attention to abandoned companion animals. However, it faces various challenges related to the management of animal information and the adoption process. This project proposes the implementation of an augmented reality mobile application with the aim of streamlining the adoption process. The app allows users to view, through the camera of their mobile device, a representative 3D model of the animal, thus avoiding the need to physically travel to the Foundation. In addition, the application provides a detailed profile of each animal, allowing users to better understand its characteristics and reinforce their decision to adopt. This represents a significant benefit for the Foundation, as it contributes to reducing the returns of adopted animals. The mobile application not only facilitates adoption, but also manages the entry of animals to the shelter, as well as the record of dewormers and vaccines administered. Various technologies were used for its development: the application programming interface (API) was implemented with Spring Boot and PostgreSQL as the database manager, while the user interface was developed with Flutter. The augmented reality functionality was built using the Unity editor. As a result, an augmented reality application was developed that significantly reduces the time required for the adoption process, since it eliminates the need for adopters to travel to the Foundation to meet the animals.

    Implantación de una aplicación web progresiva para la administración post evento de capacitación del personal de la Empresa Eléctrica de Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.

    This thesis project focuses on the implementation of a web application to improve the management and control of attendance at training events at “Empresa Eléctrica de Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A.” Currently, these processes are performed manually, which is prone to errors and excessive time consumption. The automation of these processes seeks to increase efficiency and accuracy, providing a more fluid and modern solution. Through interviews with the company's personnel, specific needs and requirements were identified in order to develop an application that meets these demands. The methodology used for software development was Extreme Programming (XP), allowing constant communication and continuous feedback with the client, ensuring efficient development and frequent deliveries of value. The Flutter framework was used to create a progressive web application, combining modern technologies for the user interface. For the backend development, Spring Boot was used as the Java tool and Oracle as the database, ensuring the robustness and scalability of the system. In addition, to evaluate the effectiveness of the application, usability and acceptance tests were carried out, applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) through surveys. The results indicate that users perceive the application as useful and easy to use, confirming its effectiveness in improving attendance control, event evaluation and certificate issuance. In summary, the implementation of this web application not only optimizes the company's internal processes, but also offers a more efficient and comfortable experience for participants, establishing a digitalization model that can be replicated in other organizations.

    During an evaluation carried out at the micro-enterprise "EL TORIL", opportunities were identified to improve the processes of milk collection, registration, and control as a raw material. The detailed analysis highlighted the need for optimization in the management of this key resource for dairy production. It was suggested that the implementation of technological tools, such as a mobile and web application, could be beneficial for the improvement and supervision of these processes. The research was carried out on the Flutter Framework, its usefulness in developing multiplatform mobile applications demonstrated that it is a modern and efficient platform for mobile application development. In addition, it allows the development of applications that run natively on Android, iOS, Web and other devices. Data collection was carried out through surveys and interviews, providing valuable information for creating the application according to the specifications and expectations of the micro-enterprise "El Toril." The Mobile-D methodology provides an effective tool for mobile application development. The methodology is based on dividing the project into iterations, with functional deliveries in the development process. This allows for the monitoring and control of tasks, as well as efficient project management. The final result was the development of a mobile and web application for controlling the milk registration as a raw material for dairy production "EL TORIL", serving as a modern tool adapted to the specifications and needs. This project contributes to improving the operational efficiency and competitiveness of the micro-enterprise.

    Technology has had an impact on various sectors of society, transforming the way we interact and relate to information. The governmental area is one of the beneficiaries of this innovation where mobile applications have been of importance to have transparency and citizen participation. The main objective of this project is to develop a mobile application for the management of petitions and suggestions in the parish of Santa Rosa in the canton of Ambato. The research is framed within the research line of Information Technology and Control Systems in the area of Database and Computer Systems. The development of the application was carried out under the Mobile Sprint Model methodology, which allowed an agile and adaptive development to the needs of the project. Flutter was used for the Frontend development with its Dart programming language while Node.js was used for the business logic of the application using the JavaScript programming language. Information management was carried out using PostgreSQL as a relational database manager. The result obtained from this project is a mobile application that facilitates the citizens of the parish of Santa Rosa to communicate their needs in real time and also contributes to the administration with a transparent management in the handling of requests and suggestions. In this way I can implement a comprehensive solution for citizen participation, it also highlights the importance of technology in the continuous improvement of government processes.

    Mobile applications are positioned as powerful tools to strengthen citizen participation and optimise urban infrastructure management. This research project focuses on improving the management of urban infrastructure maintenance in Ambato through the implementation of a mobile application with geolocation for citizen damage reporting, developed with the Flutter framework. The Mobile-D methodology, adopted in this project, has facilitated the efficient development of the application, allowing the creation of a highly effective tool. The choice of the Flutter framework has been key to ensure a smooth user experience and efficient implementation. The mobile application will enable citizens to efficiently and accurately report damage to urban infrastructure, speeding up the identification and resolution of problems by local authorities. This comprehensive approach will significantly improve maintenance management, ensuring an infrastructure in optimal condition for a safer and more liveable city. The careful determination of the development tools ensures a user-friendly application, simplifying the damage reporting process for citizens. The Mobile-D methodology has enabled the project requirements to be met in a timely manner, ensuring a successful implementation. In summary, this project proposes the implementation of a mobile application for citizen damage reporting in Ambato, supported by the Mobile-D methodology and developed with the Flutter framework.     Mobile applications have established themselves as valuable tools in various areas. including health, due to their ability to provide relevant information, improve the efficiency of healthcare processes. as well as facilitate interaction and communication between healthcare professionals and patients. This project aims to implement an application for the management and notification of food security alerts of children residing in the "Casa de Fe Foundation" of the Shell canton of the province of Pastaza. This alert and management system will contribute to real-time monitoring of nutrition. children's growth and facilitating communication and interaction between health professionals and patients. The mobile application was developed using the Flutter framework designed by Google, which uses the Dart programming language and with the Visual Studio Code code editor as an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The management of the Backend is done through Firebase services, which are Cloud Firestore. Storage. Messaging. Authentication. Test Lab, and Functions. In the design system. Material Design 3 was implemented to obtain a modern, aesthetic, and standardized design, all this together with the application of the Mobile-D development methodology, for the great flexibility, adaptability, and speed to changes for the development of the application.

    Aplicación móvil multiplataforma con tecnología de realidad virtual, para fomentar el turismo vivencial en la isla Santa Cruz-Galápagos

    Currently, mobile devices play an essential role in everyday life in general. Within the framework of the health emergency, the tourism sector in Galapagos found itself in need of offering its products and/or services in an innovative way, which is why surveys were applied in March to 267 tourist servers and 383 tourists. subscribed to the Galapagos Ocean Safaris S.A.S. agency, obtaining that 34% of servers mentioned the importance of promoting tourism through virtual reality technology and 41% considered that implementing a mobile application would help promote their products and/or services, while, 0.7% of tourists mentioned the lack of information through mobile applications and 37.24% considered that an application would improve their tourist experience during their stay on the island. In this context. this project emphasizes the development of a multiplatform mobile application with virtual reality technology, to promote experiential tourism on Santa Cruz Island. Likewise, to give continuity in the agile management of the project. a hybrid methodology between XP and Mobile-D was used, which facilitated its development, relying on the use of technologies such as Flutter and Unity together with their programming languages Dart and C# respectively. In short, the software was implemented, and the TAM model was applied, obtaining that approximately 89% of the actors involved are satisfied with the promotion of experiential tourism, since it is highly favored judging by historical data established in the aforementioned surveys.

    Through a focused research based on the issues by public parking lots users while searching for parking spaces, we found deficiencies in the availability of real-time information and the process of quick reservations. This study is focused on the development of a mobile application that is multiplatform which was created under the Mobile-D methodology. The goal is to provide quick response to the changes with flexibility by using Flutter, NodeJS, and MongoDB. With Flutter as a Framework for the cross-platform development, we created a user interface that easy to navigate and compatible with iOS and Android devices. The efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Flutter were highlighted, reducing development costs and time. The purpose of this research was to facilitate parking space allocation in Ambato city. The developed mobile application provides up-to-date data on real-time space availability and allows for instant reservations, successfully achieving the overall objective of the research a mobile application utilizing cutting-edge technologies and frameworks for parking space allocation in Ambato city.
