Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2025-02) Vargas Brito Anahi Elizabeth; Tigre Ortega Franklin GeovannyCurrently, the implementation of management systems based on international standards has become a fundamental strategy to guarantee the quality and reliability of laboratory results. This study aims to design a management system based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the simulation of bus seat anchorages conducted by Cendingeniería S.A., in alignment with UN Regulation No. 80. The design process was grounded in a documentary research methodology, involving the review of bibliographic sources on quality management, international regulations, and methodological guides. An initial diagnostic assessment was conducted using a self-assessment questionnaire that evaluated the 141 requirements outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017. These requirements span general requirements, structural elements, resource management, process operations, and quality management systems. The findings revealed that 16% of the requirements are addressed through informal actions without proper documentation, 61% lack defined procedures or implemented actions, and 23% are not applicable to the laboratory. These results highlighted critical improvement areas, serving as a foundation for the system's design. The proposed management system incorporates nine essential components: Quality Manual, Process Map, Master List of Documents, Procedures Manual, Risk Management Matrix, Process Characterization, Forms, Reports, and Instructions. These elements ensure that laboratory activities comply with the standards specified in ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Furthermore, a risk matrix was developed, identifying 31 risks associated with laboratory procedures. For each identified risk, corrective actions, responsible parties, and execution timelines were defined to safeguard the continuity and reliability of the simulations. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2024-08) Castro Gaibor, Joselyn Xiomara; Lema Chicaiza, Freddy RobertoJambi Kiwa, a company focused on the production and commercialization of aromatic infusions derived from medicinal plants, faced significant issues due to the lack of adequate strategic planning. This research project aims to develop a strategic plan to optimize production processes, improve market competitiveness, and ensure the organization's long-term sustainability. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive diagnosis was conducted using various techniques. Internal and external factor evaluation matrices, as well as Porter's Five Forces analysis, were employed to identify and analyze the factors influencing the company's operations and performance, thereby determining its current situation. For the strategic design, descriptive methods and tools such as the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) matrix and the PEYEA matrix were applied, enabling a comprehensive and precise evaluation of the organizational environment. Among the main findings, it was identified that the company lacked formal mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives statements. In response, these statements were developed considering the essential components and perspectives for their formulation. Additionally, the identified opportunities and strengths were leveraged to mitigate threats and weaknesses. As a result, ten defensive and aggressive strategies were formulated, focusing on productivity, administrative management, and marketing. Furthermore, a balanced scorecard was developed, and the implementation of the strategic plan was projected using Project software, facilitating better management of each proposed activity within the different strategies.Item Gestión por procesos en la Industria Metálica Cotopaxi(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2024-02) García Tobar, Daniel Santiago; Ortiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelThis research proposes the implementation of process management to improve the 4- tray static furnace production line at “Industria Metalica Cotopaxi”, where the main problem identified was the lack of coordination, standardization, and documentation in the development of activities related to operational processes. In addition, it was evidenced the execution of tasks in an empirical way due to the fact of absence of a standardized guide, in fact, the workers perform repetitive tasks or tasks that do not add value. Therefore, a rigorous analysis of the company’s current situation has been carried out through different methodologies, such as the observational field, a free interview with the production coordinator, and the gathering of processes using management tools such as information collection sheets. These cards detail the essential characteristics and observations of the activities. Flow charts were implemented to develop a fundamental role in the standardization, making it possible to visually represent the sequence of activities that make up each of the operational processes. Furthermore, six technical indicator sheets were developed to ensure the proper flow of activities, improving the performance of the processes, thus contributing to continuous upgrading in production. Finally, a manual of processes and procedures was developed to provide the company’s employees with a standardized guide for the execution of various activities in the different processes. This manual integrates records for each sequence, thus providing greater control over the developed activities, with a prioritized focus on the necessities and requirements of the customer. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2023-09) Altamirano Guerra, Mayra Dennise; Córdova Córdova, Edgar PatricioThe lack of sleep not only affects safety but also increases the risk of other health problems. Sleepiness, mainly caused by sleep deprivation, negatively impacts daily human functions, including reaction time, performance, and attention, leading to a decrease in alertness and concentration. In this context, a study was conducted with the aim of implementing an artificial intelligence-based system to recognize signs of sleepiness and issue alerts to individuals in that state, in order to restore their attention and allow them to continue with their activities. The system consists of four stages: acquisition, processing, training, and visualization. In the acquisition stage, the Pi Noir V2 camera was used to capture real-time images or videos. The acquired data was sent to the NVIDIA Jetson Nano for processing. Neural networks were used to train a model capable of accurately recognizing indicators of sleepiness. For practical use and deployment, the system was implemented in a cloud hosting environment. The system's algorithm was developed in Python due to the variety of available libraries, and the OpenCV library was used for image processing due to its wide range of commands. Test results showed that the system processes and sends information at an average time of 2.38 milliseconds for real-time video. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-09) Unapucha Tenorio, Darwin Patricio; Ortiz Sailema, Christian IsmaelThe present investigation proposes a management by processes oriented to the activities carried out in the egg production line of the AVIMOLDE farm. It began with the collection of information in the company to identify the shortcomings that existed at the time of carrying out the work, this is due to the fact that the poultry farm does not have standardized documents, and the lack of indicators, mission, vision and organizational values was also identified. The identified shortcomings were the starting point for the proposed study, which began with the construction of a structural organigram where the existing hierarchical chain in the organization was defined, then the necessary information was collected to make a map of processes where they were classified into strategic. operational and support processes according to their relevance. Next, the process characterization sheets were made, which consist of relevant information such as the input and output of the process, in addition, the standardization of all documents was used by applying the technical resolution N°047 of Agrocalidad, the vision, mission, values and business policy were made, to achieve organizational goals, indicators were also proposed that will allow the performance of internal processes to be evaluated and decisions to be made that benefit the poultry farm and finally the results obtained were reflected in a procedures manual, which is the main objective of this degree project, which contributed to the poultry farm to improve its production. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2023-09) Rivera Lagua, Willian Fabricio; Morales Perrazo, Luis AlbertoOne of the problems in the manufacture of food supplements for farm animals is the non-standardisation of production processes that generates effects such as: defective products, reprocesses, unproductive activities, bottleneck, among others; therefore, the objective of the research is to develop the standardization and optimization of production processes in the company "NUTRISALMINSA S.A.". The study was carried out by means of descriptive research, comprising three stages: I. Analysis of the processes, which identified the current situation of the plant by means of flow diagrams, characterization and time study. II. Determination of the level of deficiency by means of key production indicators. III. Simulation of the manufacturing processes to improve productivity. The results of the research showed that there are activities that do not add value and that restrict production by 12.88%; this situation leads to a bottleneck in the bagging area, with a time of 1862.27 seconds which corresponds to a decrease in production, the level of deficiency in the study level corresponds to 15.90%, in addition, the effectiveness in the study period was 97.79%, while its efficiency was 84.10%, highlighting the lack of optimization of resources and production processes. The simulation in FlexSim forecasts an improvement of 15 units per day, with the optimized times and standardized activities in the production in a schedule of 8 working hours, which is equivalent to 1215 US dollars. The standardization and optimization of the production processes is also visualized with the modification or elimination of activities that do not add value to the process. It is concluded that the company Nutrisalminsa S.A. has improvement opportunities to increase its productivity through standardization and optimization of its production processes, which can have an impact on additional economic income and the reduction of its production deficiency. Carrera de Industrial, 2023-03) Culqui Rodríguez, Mónica Fernanda; Guachimbosa Villalba, Víctor HugoThis research project proposes a Process Management Model for the jeans washing and dyeing company "DAYANTEX". Where, it was evidenced that the main problem presented by the organization is the lack of coordination, standardization, and control with respect to the execution of activities for the development of operational processes; This is mainly because, mainly, the operators do not have a documentation system where the operations, processes, and procedures that must be carried out are justified, resulting in the generation of unproductive times, execution of tasks empirically, delays in delivery times. , ignorance of responsibilities, and lack of compliance with customer requirements. In this regard, an analysis of the initial situation of the company has been carried out through direct observation, the process methodology, and the application of an unstructured interview with the general manager, which resulted in the identification of the 5 products that the company puts at the service of the community; In addition, the one that is considered to be in greatest demand was delimited based on an ABC analysis. Next, a recognition of the main processes that are developed in the company was carried out, which were reflected through the process map. Regarding the operational processes, the information was collected through the management tools, which were process sheets that describe the elements that make up the production, flow charts, synoptics, and analytics; likewise, control indicators and a study of times that establishes the standard time of the development of the processes were specified. Ultimately, process and procedure manuals were designed, which will make it possible to provide an improvement proposal to the organization, demonstrating in a structured way each of the guidelines that must be considered to optimize operations and guarantee the standardization of processesItem Plan estratégico para la mejora en la gestión operativa de la empresa pasteurizadora Nutrición y Vida S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. In addition a system is implemented in the cloud so the production indicator can be visible worldwide by applying the OPC UA protocol and exposing them in a web server named AnyViz. The results of the investigation show values for the efficiency indicators such as 100% and 66% for the level and pressure controls respectively. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-03) Méndez Díaz, Angel Ricardo; López Arboleda, Jessica PaolaAt the present time and worldwide, flower companies are facing economic losses, one of the causes of which are poorly managed processes, in addition to being immersed in a highly demanding market, and dealing with a fragile and perishable product such as the rose, therefore the different concepts such as efficiency, standardization within the process management systems are taken into account to seek efficiency in the different stages of production, with the help of indicators that allow analyzing the level of the process. The objective of the study is the development of a process management system in the post-harvest area, which seeks the standardization of the production processes of the bouquet of roses, for this the post-harvest processes are identified, with the information found the process map is made, and the survey of processes of each post-harvest operation is managed. Applied, documentary and field research is used for the project, because a solution proposal is sought to be applied to the company, a documentary research method is also used to support the research with other points of view of projects with a similar theme and it is field research because the researcher collects information directly from the place. Currently the company does not have an ideal level of standardization for its processes, which causes a low regularization of the processes involved in post-harvest, generating poorly executed activities that are relevant to the process, thanks to process management, a standard time was established for each stage of the process, in addition to the completion of a procedures manual based on ISO 9001: 2015, which details the most important information to carry out each process such as: objective, scope, responsible, GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), also describes the standardized activities, documents, records and guidelines to be used, to reduce variability in the product, thus seeking to produce a product without failures.
