Addictions are a problem that distress society because they cannot be controlled from one day to the next, creating disputes and estrangement between families, friends and the same couple, and these drugs are also factors that lead to physical, psychological, verbal, sexual, cyber, emotional and economic violence due to excessive consumption. In context with the users of the Rehabilitation Center Villarrica movement, they can generate or not violence on their partner when under the effect of any drug (alcohol, ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, perica, heroin, Krokodil and snuff), creating insecurity, fear, jealousy, family estrangement, depression, memory loss, unemployment, behavioral changes among other consequences that are arising throughout their lives, which sometimes become irreversible. This research study was carried out with the purpose of finding out whether drug users are violent because of drug use, which is why we worked through a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews, which provided us with life stories that allowed us to learn about this problem. Based on the research, it was found that most of the users of the Villarrica Movement Rehabilitation Center are violent towards their partners due to the use of psychotropic substances, which are harmful to their lives and keep them away from their loved ones

(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-08) Mena Quilligana, Stephanie Pamela; Campoverde Quijano, Egda Maribel
This research carries out a comparative analysis of parenting styles in families with children with disabilities, highlighting the differences and similarities of two families from the Pelileo canton. This study was carried out using a qualitative approach through case studies, the instrument implemented for collecting information was an interview guide, which consists of 28 items focused on the research indicators, prepared by the author and validated by three experts on the subject. The study revealed the intense and painful emotions that these families went through when they learned about their children's disability. In particular, the mothers faced feelings of guilt, managing to overcome them with support from the networks. Furthermore, they highlight discipline as an essential role of parents; these families critically evaluate themselves and recognize their failures in this area. It can be noted that both families show unequal dynamics according to parental consent, the passivity of the parents can respond to the emotional need of a child with disabilities, which has caused inequality in discipline and family conflicts. The study highlights the importance of establishing clear and firm rules and limits to induce good behavior in your children. The differences in the parenting styles of these families reflect variations in personalities, roles, beliefs, and discipline strategies. The parents of both families are noted for their loving nature, mutual collaboration, and teamwork as a family. However, in the families investigated, weaknesses were identified that generate imbalance in the family dynamic, such as indiscipline and inadequate and deficient communication. Due to this, confusion is generated in the establishment of rules and limits, behavioral problems and conflicts. They fail to dissolve properly, which leads to long-term tensions

Since de society is changing, the social structures evolve, the few interest of the adolescent offender families and the existence of social politics, not only in the protection of the teenagers rights on double vulnerabilities state but this one’s link with the restitution of rights that the State offers on the Republic’s Constitution to every resident of the Ecuadorian State. The juvenile delinquency makes reference to the offence (infringements) that minor aged make. The judicial system addressing this conduct, in the Children and Adolescent Court, provide determinate especial procedure for the prosecution and counts with specific coercive for them repression, as the Adolescent Offender Center. In this State, Those teenagers that has left his or her home and parallel his or her studies, see truncated the cultural formation starting to assimilate negative moral values about the new job environment, between which we have: stealing, alcoholism, drug abuse, that are the most relevant.

Previously, studies have been presented about the biological, psychological, and social problems to which adolescents facing pregnancy are exposed, but the family impact and the connections that exist between the maternal ancestors who lived through the same episode, the young people who currently face a premature pregnancy and the coincidences that occur between one generation and another. The study presents an exploratory and descriptive level because being a subject that has been little worked on previously, it manages to provide answers to the questions of the unopened cycles that are transmitted from one generation to another unconsciously. The population consisted of fifty women who presented the characteristics of a transgenerational adolescent pregnancy. The objective of the present study is to reveal the unopened transgenerational cycles of pregnant adolescents from the eclectic model. The information collection was carried out through the cyclogram, in which the unopened cycles were identified, these being: adolescent pregnancies 100%, domestic violence 86%, and abandonment by a caregiver 40%. On the other hand, the life stories allowed to contrast the life stories of the maternal predecessors and the pregnant adolescents, finally, it was possible to characterize the young women who repeat the cycle. With the information collected, it is recommended to implement the intervention protocol from the eclectic model for the opening of cycles and to be able to identify vulnerable female relatives who could repeat the previous cycle of these multi-problematic families.

    Distanciamiento familiar y desarrollo psicosocial
(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-08) Caisalitin López, Ariana Sofia; Campoverde Quijano, Egda Maribel
Given the increasing trend of family distancing resulting from changes in family structure and dynamics, there are perceived negative consequences for children as the most vulnerable and affected. Analyzing adolescence as a period of great transformation and identity development, during which high levels of propensity for antisocial, delinquent, and self-harming behaviors are manifested, questions have arisen about how this phenomenon can impact this stage. For this reason, it was extremely relevant to analyze the influence of family distancing on the psychosocial development of adolescents in order to promote the implementation of intervention and support strategies that promote healthy development and, consequently, a proper transition from childhood to adulthood. This study aimed to analyze the influence of family distancing on the psychosocial development of adolescents from the Rioblanco Alto educational unit. The sample consisted of 55 students between 15 and 17 years old from this educational center who come from distant families. The research was based on a mixed approach and two data collection instruments were used: an interview aimed at exploring the psychosocial development of adolescents and a survey to explore the causes of family distancing they experience. The main results reflect that the causes of family distancing in the adolescents are divorce, migration, work, family violence, and substance abuse. There is a predominance of divorce, and the paternal figure is the one that mostly moves away from the home. Emotional development is the most affected due to family distancing. In the adolescents, cognitive development is not affected as they have developed critical and abstract thinking that allows them to make decisions not solely based on emotions. Their creative capacity is developed. It is concluded that the psychosocial development of the adolescents from distant families is determined by the consequences brought about by this social phenomenon. Damage to the emotional sphere affects academic performance, the establishment of healthy and lasting relationships, mental health, and emotional well-being in general

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-02-21) Espinoza Villalva, Lenin Leandro; Campoverde Quijano, Egda Maribel
The empowerment of people with disabilities in the field of sports is essential for their full integration into society and their physical and emotional well-being. This research focuses on analyzing the level of empowerment of athletes with disabilities in the Paralympic Committee of Ecuador - Tungurahua, identifying the barriers they face and the factors that influence their participation in sports activities. The general objective is to analyze the level of empowerment of people with disabilities in sports areas, in order to identify the conditions and factors that favor or limit their inclusion in this context. Methodology, this research adopted a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a broader understanding of the phenomenon. Simultaneous sampling was used, integrating probabilistic and nonprobabilistic methods to collect and analyze data in a comprehensive manner. The study is descriptive and the analytical-synthetic method was used. The study population consisted of 24 athletes from the Paralympic Committee of Ecuador - Tungurahua (14 men and 10 women), and the data were obtained from the official list maintained by the Secretariat. The results show that the empowerment of athletes with disabilities is closely related to accessibility to sports facilities, the support received by the family, society and institutions. Despite advances in inclusion, significant barriers persist, such as lack of accessible infrastructure, low awareness among coaches and peers, and emotional difficulties such as low self-esteem. This affects the full integration of people with disabilities in sport. The research concludes that there are several barriers that limit the empowerment of people with disabilities in sports, such as accessibility difficulties, lack of adapted categories and emotional barriers. In addition, sociodemographic factors such as age, gender and type of disability influence sporting needs and preferences. It is essential to develop policies, inclusive sports programs, ensure a supportive family and social environment, improve available resources to facilitate the active participation of people with disabilities, promoting their empowerment and overall well-being.

The importance of understanding the correlation between family functionality and social skills is transcendental due to the changes in childhood and adolescence, not only in terms of physical development, but also in the psychosocial sphere. In this way, we highlight the essential role that the development of social skills plays in order to have a quality daily life. The family environment in which a person is born and grows up can determine economic and cultural aspects that can limit or promote personal and educational development. According to many experts, the family climate is a fundamental factor that influences academic performance. The family has a great influence on the formation of personality, interpersonal relationships, motivation to study and expectations of future academic achievement. The research sought to place the family as the first social context, it has the opportunity to visualize interpersonal events of children, such as the development of social skills, where they will express emotions, feelings and ways of relating, achieving a quality life. In addition, different studies have made a contribution regarding the relationship of difficulty in the development of social skills in childhood, and how this has repercussions on adult difficulties. That is why the development of social skills in relation to their family climate is essential to achieve a life of quality and mental health in human beings. The investigation of the family and the development of social skills is feasible due to the availability of information and previous studies that provide a basis for research. In addition, the techniques and instruments contributed to the collection of data that was exercised directly with students aged 12 to 17 years of the Conservatory "La Merced Ambato", information on the functionality of the family, the role or role that fulfills and influences for the development of social environments and the practice of their social skills of the schoolchild

Family violence happens when people in a relationship are too dependent on each other. One person has control, and the other feels afraid to leave, even when there is physical or emotional harm. This creates a cycle, where the victim thinks the abuse is normal, and the aggressor continues. The main causes are fear of being alone, low self-esteem, and the idea that love means suffering. Because of this, many people do not ask for help or leave the relationship

Taking into account that we worked with a population of 25 teachers of the evening shift with a mixed approach, for which the collection of information was used through semi-structured interviews provided by the same teachers of the institution, meanwhile for the quantitative part A validated survey on family dynamics was applied, from which data was obtained in sections such as cohesion, harmony, communication, permeability, affectivity, roles, and adaptability. The correct application of both instruments helped us to demonstrate that the virtual work modality, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, does influence the communication of the families of the teachers of the San Miguel de los Bancos educational unit, also demonstrating that These factors are fundamental in family dynamics.
