INTEGRACIÓN DE TECNOLOGÍAS EMERGENTES EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE ENFERMERÍA: REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA
(2025-06-17) Paredes Moreta Leonela Mishelle; Chileno Camacho Luis Felipe; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Enfermería
Introduction: One strategy to address new learning needs is the use of current digital resources in teaching. In nursing, it can help students develop their skills and competencies through clinical practice in virtual mode. Objective: To analyze the integration of emerging technologies in nursing education and their impact on students' academic and professional training. Methods: To obtain information on the integration of emerging technologies in nursing education, a documentary technique will be used to review articles and scientific publications in various databases such as Google Scholar, Pub Med, Science Direct, Scielo and Dialnet. Results: The analysis of the information obtained is based on the experiences and perceptions of educators through knowledge and experiences on the incorporation of emerging technologies in their teaching practices, as well as their perceptions on the benefits, challenges and limitations associated with this process. Conclusion: The research is based on the education of nursing students, which presents significant challenges for better practice.

AVANCES DE LA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL Y SUS APLICACIONES EN EL CAMPO DE LA ENFERMERÍA
(2025-06-17) Toapanta Guano, Belgica Guadalupe; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Enfermería
Introduction: Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming the field of nursing; adoption of artificial intelligence-based technologies has increased by 50% in the last 5 years, promising to improve efficiency and quality of care. Objective: To analyze the advances of artificial intelligence and its applications in the field of nursing. Methods: Systematic review in databases such as Scielo, PubMed and Google Scholar. The total number of articles was 996, of which 37 articles were selected by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, using the PRISMA flowchart. Results: The sample was represented by 37 articles, of which 23 were in PubMed, 11 in Google Scholar and 3 articles in SciELO. Discussion: AI is applied in three main areas: nursing education, hospital setting and health systems. Of note is the use of simulators, intelligent tutors and adaptive learning platforms. In the hospital setting, AI has improved patient monitoring, medication administration and clinical decision making. In healthcare systems, AI has optimized information management and readmission prediction. Conclusion: AI advances in nursing are focused on education, patient care and healthcare management. However, it is crucial to address the associated ethical and privacy challenges, as well as to ensure continuing education of professionals in these areas.

INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL EN LA EDUCACIÓN EN ENFERMERÍA: OPTIMIZACIÓN DEL APRENDIZAJE Y SUS IMPLICACIONES, UNA REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) López Villacrez, Marco Daniel; Martínez García, Diana Nancy
Introduction: This research addresses the use of digital tools such as artificial intelligence (AI), to improve the learning of nursing students. AI, created to optimize human tasks, gives us the possibility of streamlining, improving the reliability and precision of multiple activities; however, there is little research on its integration into education. Objective: The objective of this research is to conduct a systematic review to examine the effectiveness and applications of artificial intelligence in optimizing learning among nursing students, and to establish foundations for an innovative learning methodology. Methods: To collect information, a documentary technique will be used, through a systematic review of scientific articles, related to AI and its applications in student learning, to obtain information it will be based on the PRISMA diagram, to the initial search for scientific articles in databases such as: Google Scholar, Pubmed and Scopus. Results: Using the flowchart, 141 full-text articles evaluated for eligibility could be analyzed, selecting a total of 11 articles for review. Conclusions: AI gives the student the possibility of obtaining the most appropriate information according to their needs with just one order, based on scientific evidence with the highest quality and reliability, allowing the student to optimize their work, acquire more knowledge and this is reflected in their academic performance. the same that will later be put into practice in the professional field.

Mg.
The aim of this research was to analyze the use of artificial intelligence in health professionals; for this purpose, a total of 100 articles were analyzed. The following were considered as exclusion criteria: Letters from the editor, articles that are not open access. A total of 30 articles remained as a sample, under a qualitative, documentary approach methodology, since the information found in reliable academic bibliographic sources was analyzed and described. The text discusses the incorporation of artificial intelligence in medicine and health care in general. It mentions that in the 21st century, the population faces the challenge of understanding and adopting new technologies that are at the service of humanity. In medicine, there is a move towards evidence-based medicine, using artificial intelligence as a complement to clinical practice with good results. It is emphasized that these technological changes are necessary to support decision making and are occurring at a faster rate than expected. It is mentioned that bioinformatics with artificial intelligence is not only used in medicine, but also in other informatics work in the biosciences. It is noted that artificial intelligence is one of the most prominent technologies of recent times and generates many expectations. Countries such as the United States, India, Mexico, Thailand, Slovakia, Korea, Spain, Brazil and China have developed programs for the use of artificial intelligence in the field of health, such as the Watson program, which is used to detect different types of cancer. It is mentioned that, despite the advantages of artificial intelligence, there are also disadvantages and risks. It is emphasized that people who rely on and use artificial intelligence in the healthcare field must ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the system's information. The risk of automation bias, i.e., unquestioningly accepting machine advice rather than maintaining vigilance and validating that advice, is mentioned. Also mentioned is the risk that artificial intelligence systems may perpetuate bias and discrimination in health care. Finally, it is emphasized that artificial intelligence can help the practitioner by suggesting hypotheses about health problems, but cannot explain the cause of these hypotheses.
