Item Estrés parental en padres de universitarios de movilidad interna (foráneos)(Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2025-02-20) Chuquilla Guaman, Katherin Mishell; Paredes Ruiz, Teresa de JesúsThis research aimed to analyze the level of parental stress in parents of university students studying away from home. A quantitative approach was used, collecting data from 53 parents through a questionnaire developed by Abidin, R.R. (1995). This study explored the level of stress experienced by parents of university students. The results revealed that a significant percentage of these parents reported high levels of stress, mainly attributable to concerns about their children's academic, social, and financial well-being, difficulty maintaining effective communication at a distance, and feelings of isolation. Additionally, significant differences in stress levels were identified based on variables such as the parent's gender and the length of time their child had been studying away from home. These findings highlight the need to develop specific support programs for parents of university students studying abroad, focusing on stress management, improving family communication, and strengthening social networks. The results of this research contribute to a better understanding of the experiences and needs of these parents and offer valuable implications for clinical practice, education, and public policyItem Migración y Desintegración Familiar(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-08) Freire Montesdeoca, Sofia Valeria; Espín Miniguano, Anita DalilaMigration has a significant impact on family cohesion. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of migration and family disintegration on the inhabitants of Pilahuin parish. When a family member decides to move to another place or country, several factors occur that make family interactions difficult and cause emotional uncertainty. The absence of a loved one due to migration can cause feelings of loss, loneliness and anxiety in the members who remain, altering both family dynamics and the cultural identity of all members. This contributes to family stress, as both the migrant and his or her family face challenges such as adapting to a new environment and a different culture, which can generate additional tensions. These economic challenges and financial insecurity can exacerbate these stresses, which impact on family cohesion and increase tensions in family relationships. The implementation of a proposal to develop integration workshops for immigrant families has as its main objective to improve the family climate in order to promote employment and economic development opportunities. These workshops are designed to favor cultural adaptation, promote social cohesion and provide migrant families with the necessary tools to integrate effectively in their new environment. Pilahuin families, both positive and negative effects of the migratory context are observed. A non-experimental quantitative method, non-exploratory research and survey were used as data collection technique. The results indicate the need to support families with migrant members so that they can face the emotional and social challenges related to family disintegration. It is critical to recognize that migrants experience separation from family and friends, which can generate sadness, loneliness and homesickness. Communication technologies play a crucial role in maintaining family ties often sustained through monetary exchanges that are interpreted as tokens of affection and affection, helping to mitigate feelings of loss and isolationItem Estructura familiar y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-02) Chimborazo Chimborazo, Doris Lizbeth; Espín Miniguano, Anita DalilaFamily structure plays a crucial role in the development and welfare of each member. Family Dynamics within its structure has several aspects that contribute to both the growth and development of each of its members, allowing them to develop and adaptto society. These factors play an important role in the way of relational relationships with peers or superiors, due to the health emergency this contact has been slowed down and in some settings “forced”. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, two previously validated instruments were used, for the Family Dynamics variable the “Intrafamily Relationship Assessment Scale” was used, composed of three dimensions that are: Union and Support; Difficulties and Expression on the other hand, for the variable Relational Skills the “Social Skills Test” was used, which has four expressed dimensions: Assertiveness; Communication; Self-esteem and Decision Making. Once the results of both variables were obtained, the hypothesis testing process could be carried out, where a positive correlation was demonstrated that determines that family dynamics affects the development of skills in adolescents from the Puñapí community. In addition, it was identified that the dimensions most accepted by adolescents are Expression and Communication. Within this study, good results were obtained in both variables, showing that adolescents, at least from the community, have not seen a change in their social and family relationships due to the health emergency
