Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2024-02) Soria Tomaico, Shirley Vanessa; Tigre Ortega, Franklin GeovannyThis research project is based on proposing a distribution of facilities with a lean approach in the company Elohimtex Cia Ltda. The consideration of an efficient distribution makes the performance of the organization count with an improvement in productivity and optimization of resources. For the development of the proposal, the application of two strategic approaches, the SLP methodology and manufacturing cells, is approached. The techniques considered within the parameters of lean manufacturing are the value stream map, to analyze the current and proposed state; and Kanban cards that allow efficient control within production; each tool is intended to replace activities that do not generate value to the product to be developed and eliminate possible waste. To contemplate how beneficial the stipulated proposal could be, a simulation was carried out using FlexSim. When comparing the results of the current situation with the proposal, a 32% reduction in distance traveled is estimated. With these data identified through the simulation, it is evident that the proposal considered has important benefits within the elaboration of products in the organization, making that the processing times have a significant reduction.Item Herramientas de manufactura esbelta para la mejora continua de los procesos en un restaurante de comida rápida(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. With an initial analysis, the main changes within the process were identified, in order to provide a solution to the problems encountered, the management of a reference implementation proposal for lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies in restaurant processes is proposed. . Maestría en Producción y Operaciones Industriales, 2023-04) Bautista Romero, Milton Andrés; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaEl presente trabajo de investigación está enfocado en la optimización de los procesos productivos de cuero curtido Wet-Blue aplicando herramientas de manufactura esbelta. Se identificó los desperdicios generados en el proceso y las herramientas a utilizar, se definió la propuesta de aplicación a través de un sistema de manufactura esbelta. Con la información que se obtuvo en el diagrama de flujo, ficha de observación, estudio de tiempos, diagrama de recorrido (Lay Out) se constató la existencia de actividades que no están correctamente distribuidas y controladas y que no agregan valor al proceso, lo que ocasiona un proceso desbalanceado. Con el análisis realizado y el estudio de las herramientas de manufactura esbelta se seleccionaron los métodos adecuados para cambios importantes en el proceso de producción que permitan reducir tiempos de ciclo mediante la eliminación de actividades que no agregan valor. Se propuso la aplicación de herramientas de manufactura esbelta basado en la eliminación de actividades innecesarias que representaría para el proceso de cuero curtido Wet-Blue un aumento de su producción del 24,07%. Además, con el tiempo de ciclo propuesto el proceso tarda 1206 segundos por unidad, con una brecha del 4% respecto del takt time que es de 1317 segundos por unidad, en este sentido se podrá satisfacer las capacidades del mercado al ser el tiempo del ciclo menor que el tiempo del takt time. La gestión estratégica de la curtiduría Hidalgo es importante para lograr el éxito y la sostenibilidad en el tiempo, en este sentido la propuesta de implementación del mantenimiento productivo total TPM tiene influencia significativa en la productividad, confiabilidad y disponibilidad de los equipos de producción.Item Modelo de aplicación de las herramientas de manufactura esbelta para optimizar el proceso de producción en una empresa de fabricación en derivados de cartón(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Producción y Operaciones Industriales, 2023-04) Vargas Flores, Patricio Daniel; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaEl presente proyecto de investigación está enfocado en desarrollar un modelo de diseño de implementación de herramientas de manufactura esbelta en la empresa Mikrocartón, la cual se denomina como una organización dedicada a la fabricación de cajas de cartón de pizza, zapatos y todo tipo de empaques. El objetivo de la presente investigación es de diseñar un modelo de aplicación de las herramientas de manufactura esbelta para optimizar el proceso de producción en una empresa de fabricación en derivados de cartón. La información necesaria para llevar a cabo el objeto de estudio ha sido dirigida mediante la esquematización de un diagrama de VSM (Value stream mapping), el cual ha sido punto de partida para el diagnóstico de la organización. Se determinaron valores de takt time, lead time y producción estimada para determinar sus niveles de operación y ciclos del flujo de materiales, así como también el análisis de sus procesos estratégicos. Mediante los datos obtenidos por observaciones en campo se definieron los desperdicios y las pérdidas ocasionadas en el proceso de producción de cajas de pizza según el método de factores ponderados siendo estas mudas los tiempos de espera, inventario y transporte. Con la identificación de estos defectos en el proceso se procedió a analizar las herramientas de manufactura esbelta que podrían disminuir el porcentaje de actividades que no agregan valor. El estudio permitió identificar las herramientas de manufactura esbelta que permitirían optimizar los procesos de producción y reducir el desperdicio, basada en la reducción de tiempos de espera, las herramientas más viables en la empresa fueron 5S para fomentar la organización, limpieza, orden y estandarizado de proceso; Kaizen para determinar propuestas de mejora prontas y concretas a situaciones impredecibles y Kanban para determinar metodologías de tableros y tarjetas para facilitar el control de inventario. Lean Manufacturing is a methodology that focuses on minimizing waste through the tools you have at your disposal, it is based on three steps which are: selection, identification and reduction or elimination. The Ivonndy Ice Cream company, is looking for new techniques that allow it to improve its production processes and manage resources efficiently. The main objective of this project is to propose Lean Manufacturing tools that improve productivity in the single flavor ice cream line, based on the selection of the most indemand product using the ABC methodology, the study of times allowed to determine which processes restrict the productive capacity, the value stream mapping (VSM) was used to identify wastage and finally a proposal was developed with the tools: 5S and standardized work. Several companies have made use of this methodology that encompasses all those involved in the processes of an organization, generating as a product an organized and standardized culture. The Municipal slaughterhouse of Ambato, dedicated to the slaughter of large and small cattle, has seen the convenience of improving its processes in relation to existing waste, time in its processes, standardization of its activities. The objective of this research project is to propose improvement proposals through the application of tools belonging to the lean manufacturing methodology to mitigate or eliminate waste related to this methodology such as: unnecessary transports and movements, waiting times, defects, over-processing, within the processes of cattle slaughtering. For which a collection of information of the current slaughtering processes is developed with the help of industrial engineering tools, thus knowing which are the activities, tools, machines, personnel and current documentation used. Additionally, by means of a time study, the standard time of each of the processes was obtained as well as their respective cursograms and plant layout. These times are used for the development of the current VSM, with which the waste and activities that really add value in the production process can be identified in order to subsequently establish the most critical waste through a Pareto diagram with the use of tools such as the 5'S used to maintain order, cleanliness and discipline; TPM to maintain the equipment and tools in an optimal state to avoid plant stoppages and defects. To reduce the time of some critical processes, activities such as knife affiliation were eliminated and the proposal to acquire a pneumatic skinning machine was also made, reducing the slaughter time per bovine from 8.77 min to 6.01 min. Carrera de Industrial, 2023-03) Andaluz Cunalata, Bryan Gonzalo; Gavidia García, José LuisThe lean manufacturing allows companies to maintain the quality of their products in a constant improvement, thanks to different tools applied that permit the increase of productivity and efficiency of both, processes and products offered. So, as it is a very important application within manufacturing companies, BIOALIMENTAR CÍA. LTDA. has considered the application of continuous improvement proposals based on lean manufacturing tools to reduce processing times and production failures. For the presentation of the improvement proposals, the current situation of the company was necessary to recognize through an ABC of the most sold products, the brand Mambo Adult of 30 kg was the product that has the highest representation within the extrusion line. A time study was carried out based on this product to determine the work methods to make this product, where a result of 324,44 minutes was obtained to produce a batch of bags of the mentioned product, it was also necessary to identify all the wastes found in the process that helped to build the present VSM. Once this tool was applied, proposals for the elimination of waste were made. Thus, the use of SMED to correct waits, Jidoka and TPM for the elimination of production defects, and the 5'S to control incorrect processing. Finally, a VSM was built based on the proposals and theoretical applications of the tools, where a reduction of 249,42 minutes in manufacturing time was obtained, improving by 23,11 % and avoiding waste. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Lalaleo Torres, Jessica Paola; Sánchez Rosero, Carlos HumbertoThis research work proposes the improvement of productivity through lean manufacturing tools application proposal, for which a current situation of company analysis is carried out through methods study use, time study and VSM, determining that existing production plant waste are unnecessary movements, material transport, waiting, defective products and unnecessary processes, which generates low productivity at company. A study was carried out based on bibliographic and field research through which a descriptive matrix was established in which the possible causes of waste and lean manufacturing tools that can reduce or eliminate them in each area are placed, also the weighted factors method was used for tools selection and it was found that the 5'S, Kaizen, Jidoka and TPM are the best option. After tools identification, a productivity improvement plan was proposed and the procedure to be followed for each tool was described in manuals. In the case of the 5'S, resources in production plant were classified and ordered, in the case of Kaizen the work methods were improved and activities that do not add value to the product were eliminated, in the case of Jidoka and TPM manuals were established to help in the correct implementation. Through the simulation of the current and proposed situation, it was possible to present the improvement of the weekly production capacity of the medium sized piglet by 27.84% and the improvement of the delivery time of a batch of the final product by 37.07%, therefore, the improvement of productivity.Item Mejora de la productividad en el área de inyección de piezas de plástico de la empresa Multiaccesorios M.G. mediante herramientas de manufactura esbelta(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-02) Valles Vera, Jorge Alexander; Ortiz Guerrero, Daysi MargaritaIn this research, the application of lean manufacturing tools is proposed based on the waste found in the injection process of plastic headbands at company Multiaccesorios M.G. First technical visits to the company were scheduled to collect data, obtaining information regarding the products offered by the company, demand and sales pertaining to the first 6 months of 2020, data that allowed an ABC analysis that determined the most relevant product for the company, that is the model 204 headband for universal upholstery, then the process survey, time study, analytical course chart and value flow mapping were elaborated, identifying the waste present in the actual process. Simulation of the production plant was created to compare its results with the data obtained by calculations and once the opportunities for improvement were identified, the lean manufacturing tools were appointed. Applying the 5's tool, an improvement in the workspace is recognized and together with SMED activities are optimized reducing unnecessary transport and movements. The standardization application allows the normalization of the initial activities of preparation of the injection machines, reducing the set-up times and with the balancing of lines it is proposed to enable a third injector and assign activities to one of the workers, eliminating the neck of bottle of the process and increasing weekly production. Finally, the economic benefits are analyzed, obtaining a semester profit of $ 13,838.16 as a result of the implementation of the assigned tools, after which the new proposed value flow map is presented and the simulation of the production plant is carried out with the improvements implemented, obtaining an increase of 5,844% in the productivity of the plant.
