Automated manufacturing, resulting from the interaction between economic forces and technical innovations such as mechanization and food systems, has transformed global production chains. However, in the field of industrial distillers, small enterprises and artisans are excluded due to high equipment costs, dominated by multinationals. In Ecuador, despite the existence of ethyl alcohol producing companies, their global presence is limited compared to countries such as Brazil, Colombia and Peru. In the Pangua canton (Cotopaxi), small entrepreneurs face a lack of adequate equipment and resources, limiting the production of distillates and hindering exports. The growing importance of ethyl alcohol production from native plants, such as sugarcane, faces challenges due to low-capacity distiller designs, affecting the productivity and quality of the artisanal liquor. The project seeks to design an automated distiller focused on supporting entrepreneurs, improving the capacity and efficiency of the distillation process. This design will be developed at the School of Systems, Electronics and Industrial Engineering of the Technical University of Ambato, taking advantage of workstations that will promote innovation in process automation. This project is expected to boost the regional productive matrix, offering micro-enterprises a solution to compete and expand in the global market.Item Sistema de control y monitoreo para un prototipo de enfundadora de granos en los talleres tecnológicos de la FISEI-UTA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2024-08) Llamba Caiza, Robinson Patricio; Salazar Logroño, Franklin WilfridoIn the industrial sector, control, monitoring and data acquisition are fundamental for decision making and improving quality, safety and productive efficiency. This research project aims to design a control system for monitoring a prototype grain casing machine. It began with a bibliographic, research using the PRISMA, methodology to understand the functions, applicability and benefits of SCADA systems. Based on this research, the parameters for the control of the grain casing prototype were established. Subsequently, the mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems were designed in each of their stages, applying information technologies and control systems. For automatic control, a Siemens S7-1200 PLC controller version 1212 AC/DC/RLY was used, considering the input and output variables, this being a timed automatic process in each of its stages. The design of the control system was carried out using Ignition software, a platform for the design of process control systems. The combination with communication protocols such as OPC UA and Modbus TCP formed a communication network between the computer, the PLC controller and the Arduino board database for reading the status and obtaining data from the process variables in time real. The performance tests, carried out with different temperatures in the vertical sealer (60 to 83 °C) and in the horizontal sealer (70 to 85 °C), defined a theoretical production capacity of the prototype of 270 units per hour, working at a 90% efficiency in the event of possible failures and delays in the launch of the prototype.Item Diseño de un sistema de gestión por procesos en la empresa “Kipa Amaranto”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Through the diagnosis of the current situation of the process management system, it was identified the lack of documentation in the productive processes that allow adequate control and fol low up of them; these generate delays, unproductive times, and repetitive tasks that do not generate added value Subsequently, a detailed analysis of the principal processes of the company was applied to be documented in a process map. The data of the ope rational processes were carried out using management tools such as process sheets, which describe the elements that make up production; flow charts, flow diagrams, and analytical flowcharts. In addition, control indicators were established and a time study was carried out to determine the standard time required for the execution of each product. Finally, process and procedure manuals were made to provide an improvement proposal for the productive development of the organization, through the standardization of the identified processes. These manuals present a structured manner of all the guidelines that must be taken into account to optimize operations and ensure the standardization of processes. The documents generated provide a clear and detailed guide on h ow to carry out each activity; which will facilitate the planning, execution, and evaluation of personnel training, improve supervision and job monitoring, and will contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of operations at "KIPA AMARANTO" Company.Item Sistema domótico para personas con discapacidad visual mediante inteligencia artificial y reconocimiento de voz(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Telecomunicaciones, 2023-08) Lascano Solís, Dennis Andrés; Benalcázar Palacios, Freddy GeovannyThis research project aims to implement a prototype of a home automation system for visually impaired people through artificial intelligence and voice recognition, to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people in their homes, to fulfill this purpose was carried out an analysis of the current state of the homes of such people, through a survey of visually impaired people registered in the "School of Specialized Basic Education Cardinal Julius Doephner" in the Canton Ambato, where the lack of accessibility, access control, lighting control, control of electronic devices and security in the homes were notorious, thus establishing the use of the benefits of home automation and the main requirements they need for home management, hardware and free software that will help in the implementation of the prototype to reduce the cost. The research project developed is composed of a voice recognition system with artificial intelligence through the use of the Raspberry PI 4 computer, in which the automatic learning system was developed in TensorFlow that allows the training of neural networks for the recognition of a specific voice for the general control of the system, this will help to solve problems with better quality and low costs without the need to modify the infrastructure of the houses to be controlled.Item Sistema de control y monitorización de una estación de producción modular para la clasificación de piezas basado en tecnologías IoT para los laboratorios de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2023-03) Almagro German, Cristian Israel; Reyes Proaño, Gabriela Alexandra; Franklin, SalazarThe present research work used an "MPS Station" and a "Conveyor Station", the same ones that were equipped with the necessary IoT instruments and technologies for their association to industry 4.0, in order to monitor an industrial process locally. and remote, for this it was seen the need to implement a LAN network for the assignment of IP's to the equipment that will be part of the process; The S7-1200 PLC was programmed using the Modbus TCP/IP communication protocol, where it performs the master function and the other devices act as slaves, thus sending information to the master, a Raspberry Pi that hosts the Home Assistant operating system, with which Orders are given to the PLC through control buttons, which are distributed in a graphical interface, the operating system allows cameras to be integrated in order to transmit video in real time with the idea of monitoring the process, a voice assistant such as Amazon's Alexa and in this case the Google ssistant, for the recognition of the three colors a file was developed in Python, the communication with Home Assistant was used the MQTT protocol. The programming of a database in Home Assistant for the creation of a file that houses the date and time of the piece that was selected according to its color, where its results were as expected, the control and monitoring of the stations in a way local complied with all the selected orders from the graphical interface located on a PC, the control and monitoring of the stations remotely complied with all the selected orders from the graphical interface found on a cell phone, in the case of the assistant Voice did not comply with all the orders since it depends on external factors such as noise, environment of the place, the speed of the internet. The IoT system is applicable to a large-scale industrial process since in local control and remote control it meets the requirements, in the case of the voice assistant it must be under a controlled environment.Item Estudio de tiempos y movimientos para el mejoramiento del proceso productivo en la empresa Balanvalle Cia. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2023-01) Castellano Travez, Marco Vinicio; Lema Chicaiza, Freddy RobertoThe lack of times and movements standardization leads a company to raise production costs and raise the product value, to such an extent that it makes it impossible to compete in the market. This research work determined that the company Balanvalle Cia. Ltda., has three products derived from the balanced, the ABC analysis, determined that the highest demand product for 2019 to 2021, with an average of annual sales of $478,125, equivalent to 57.6%, was the complete bovine balanced bag of 40kg. The production line has 10 processes where each operator is responsible for sending the raw material and supplies to the mixing area to process and obtain the final product. Standard time, obtained from the current method was 2.67 minutes per bag. Bottleneck was focused on the honeydew process, the proposal to manage activities in parallel increased the production capacity by 3.99% per month. The cost-benefit analysis observed that, from the utility obtained from the 6 extra bags that are made with the proposed method, the return of investment is limited to the first quarter of work.Item Riesgos mecánicos en el taller de mantenimiento de la empresa de trasporte pesado José Ocaña Mayorga S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, 2022-09) Paredes Sánchez, Cristhian Alex; Tigre Ortega, Franklin GeovannyIn the work performed in maintenance workshops, especially in those where there is the existence of heavy load vehicles, there are different types of risks to which workers are subjected. One of the risks that is prevalent and of particular interest are the mechanical hazards, this is due to the use of tools and tasks in confined situations in the vehicles. Thus, this research project focuses on the analysis of the mechanical risks present in the maintenance workshop of the heavy transport company "José Ocaña Mayorga S.A.". Through an observation-based methodology and the use of arrays to record the information, the activities of all the workstations present in the workshop were identified. Likewise, an initial analysis was carried out by means of checklists to identify the mechanical risk factors due to the safety conditions of the facility. Subsequently, using the Colombian Technical Guide 45 (GTC-45), the mechanical risk factors derived from the activities of the maintenance shop workers were identified and evaluated, which resulted in a total of 424 mechanical risks associated with the workers' activities, with the following factors being found as intolerable: falls to different levels and important: handling of equipment or tools, entrapment by or between objects, entanglement or collision by vehicles, and falling objects due to collapse. Consequently, an action guide was developed to control the most critical risk factors, based on the Technical Prevention Standards of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, which will enable workers to perform maintenance activities in safer conditions.Item Sistema de automatización para el desplazamiento de una silla bipedestadora mediante control táctil en el Centro de Rehabilitación Física y Neurológica “Bendiciones” de la ciudad de Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-07) Amaguaña Guamán, Iván Leonardo; Altamirano Meléndez, Santiago MauricioThe technological development of mobility devices has allowed people with disabilities to change their lifestyle and even not depend on medical personnel or families for the development of their activities, which is why this project focuses on improving the quality of life of a person who depends on a permanent wheelchair through an automated system for moving the standing chair at the "Blessings" Physical and Neurological Rehabilitati on Center. This project describes the design of an automation and touch control system integrated in a standing chair belonging to Niño Mateo Martínez, who has 80% physical disability due to quadriplegia. To implement this project, a vertical lifting and movement mechanism is required in the rear wheels, which adapt to the physical structure of the standing chair. The operation of the movement control and automation system of the standing chair involves the use of Bluetooth wireless technology that allows communication between the graphic interface and the electronic prototype. This system consists of two important parameters; the first focuses on vertical positioning, because thanks to the inclusion of a linear actuator it will access a vertical movement converting a standard wheelchair to a standing frame, the second focuses on displacement that, thanks to two motors, allows the low-speed mechanical movement capable of driving the rear wheels. In addition, through the use of the BTS7960 DC motor controller, closed-loop control is established, since the gains between the voltage it delivers and the output voltage to the system are regulated, that is, the controller plays an important role thanks to its amplification. that taking the control signals from the Arduino Mega regulates the PWM signal, thus controlling the displacement system. Together with a mathematical analysis that allows the modeling of a DC motor armature circuit, some equations are determined that will allow defining a first order system in order to obtain the gains based on the desired behavior of the motors. As a final element, a functional automation system will be obtained in the standing chair whose process is controlled automatically, safely respecting the needs of the specific needs of the patient.Item Diseño y construcción de un UAV, para misiones estratégicas del centro de investigaciones de la FAE, utilizando paneles solares(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. We started with an analysis and discussion with the team from the research and development center of the Ecuadorian air force, determining the needs and problems existing among the unmanned aerial vehicles that have been developed for missions. This allowed having a better vision for the implementation of the energy system with which all the devices inside the cabin of the platform will be powered with. For the design and construction of the prototype of the aircraft, various parameters were considered, among which we can distinguish the dimensions of the fuselage of the cabin, wing, and tail, as well as the dimensioning of the weight, based on the electronic and mechanical components that integrate the different systems, the same that will allow us to improve the flight autonomy of the unmanned aerial vehicles. Also, have better communication from the land base to the platform, and improve the energy supply system by obtaining, processing, converting, and using renewable energies present in the environment. The Ecuadorian Air Force research center does not have an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle platform with the capacity to make flights for long periods, robust and with a design that allows the evolution and adaptation of new technologies in it. Therefore, the need to implement, design, and build an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle system with an efficient communication link and with the capacity to make use of the renewable energy obtained from the sun, furthermore fully functional to enable missions that require the aircraft to remain or perform more durable flights.Item Sistema web utilizando tecnología angular para aplicar protocolos de bioseguridad en el registro y control de ganado del Centro de Faenamiento E.T.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales e Informáticos, 2022-02) Almache Romo, Diego Xavier; Núñez Miranda, Carlos IsraelAt present, with respect to the control in the entry of animals to different slaughter centers in the city of Ambato, new aspects have been raised that must be taken into account which are biosecurity controls focusing specifically on cattle, this arises with the appearance of the COVID-19 virus and its adaptability to environments and living beings producing an instability is the health that along the path of this pandemic has left dozens of dead. This research project focuses on the development of a web system that is focused on the optimization of the control and registration of livestock in the E.T. slaughter center with the application of biosecurity protocols to be able to link to the already existing health regulations that govern in this type of centers which provide a staple food for the population. The development of the web system using the angular tool allows the easy integration of programming languages such as HTML, PHP, JavaScript, typescript, and CSS that will allow us to take advantage of the available resources in a safe and efficient way in order to satisfy the requirements established by the client for the implementation in the company. The methodology used for the elaboration of this research project will be xtreme programming or also known as XP thanks to the acceptance it has in the development of the project, the assignment of tasks and roles to the different individuals involved, becoming the fundamental tool for a correct development of the research project.
